Food is good but very overpriced
3 stars mostly because if you show up at 3 (despite them closing at 4) you essentially can’t get food. They package everything up and tell you to grab what’s in the coolers and won’t even heat things up.

I typically expect kitchens to close early at full service restaurants but not at a functionally grab and go restaurant. 4pm seems to be when the staff leave not when the restaurant closes.

My co-workers had been telling me about their delicious soups, so I decided to try out this eatery. I ordered the Turkey Chili and it was absolutely the best chili I've had since my mama's. The apple cashew kale salad was very tasty but hands down the chili was the star of my meal. I will likely try other menu items but I'm sold on the chili alone. Nice place to enjoy a meal. Service was pleasant as well.

What a lovely shop with such kind staff :,) I loved the interior decorations and the vendor booth section. the ‘my dad’s turkey chili’ was so tasty. I also grabbed a quart to go, on sale for $10! I’ll be back to try more for sure

This is my new favorite Soper Jenny in Atlanta. My previous favorite was Buckhead but this one is more homey and calm. You get the same food and friendly service.

A great place to grab lunch and read a book or catch up on some work.

I don’t give a lot of 5-stars, but this deserves it. Might just become my favorite lunch stop. Great soups and chili, salads and sandwiches. You order cafeteria style and sit in the delightful open dining area that is a combination of tables, chairs and sitting room furniture!!! The turkey chili is outstanding with a nice amount of kick, along with what might be the best corn bread I have tasted. The fruit and salad fixings are absolutely fresh… along with the complimentary bread. I’ll be back soon to try their sandwiches. Very friendly vibe throughout the place. Nice to eat off china plates verses plastic of styrofoam.

SJ is probably the best soup and salad spot in Metro Atlanta with fresh, organic ingredients. The spot in Decatur is dope and has a chill vibe with plenty of space to sit. If you try regularly, you will definitely see the same customers because it is that GOOD.

The food is wonderful with great salads, awesome soups, and very satisfying sandwiches. The menu changes daily but typically will have a popular item more often. I love their Kale & chicken Caesar salad and chicken noodle soup. The service is excellent, patient, and customer friendly. The facility is clean and also connected to eclectic clothing store. It’s very popular too.

With that, I highly recommend Souper Jenny- Decatur; however, remember this isn’t Panera, so their prices are a little higher. But trust, it’s worth it. I wouldn’t recommend the Brookhaven spot. It is just too congested, horrible parking, and feels like eating in a closet.

Eclectic atmosphere with unique soup choices. Definitely appreciated that there were gluten-free (GF) choices amongst the soups, sandwiches, and salad options; however, it would have been optimal to have a GF cookie option too as part of their meal combo. I was able to sub the cookie for fruit, however, the only fruit option was bananas, to which I'm sadly allergic. Also purchased the GF & vegan Tiramisu, which was oddly dry, not moist.
Overall, I appreciate the effort that Souper Jenny's exerts in inclusion of those of us with dietary restrictions. Thx so much!

Been to diff soupers and its been good. Very cozy homey feel. Im a soup lover so its cool finding a place like this. But the interaction with lady upfront was NOT welcoming one bit. Theres 2 woman, one younger than the other, & the older lady was just very rude, no nice customer service feel, abrupt, ill speak to younger lady & she's just talking loudly indirectly twd me, with such an arrgnt not friendly one bit demeanor. Rubbed me soo off. Def aggy & not interested in this 👎

Nothing like Souper Jenny. I love their My Dad’s Turkey Chili at every location. Sometimes I’m tempted to stray from my usual order of chili and any of their delicious salad offerings of the day, but I always go for the chili. On this occasion I ordered a cup of My Dad’s Turkey Chili with a cup of Fresh Beet and Orange Salad. The lady who served my dish saw me eyeing their brunch items and was so sweet to bring me a couple of samples of each type of frittata. Wonderful service at this location. I also got equally wonderful service at their Atlanta location in the museum.

Their servings are huge and the food is always delicious. I can never finish a Pick Two 🤣 so I order a cup of each item. Try sprinkling the whole wheat bread into your chili… you’ll thank me later, but it’s also delicious without. Yum!

Vegetarian options: They always have at least 1 or 2 vegetarian and vegan dishes :)

Dietary restrictions: They’re always mindful of dietary restrictions and list them out on the menu.

Parking: Large parking lot with a lot of spaces.

Kid-friendliness: There’s a kids table 😌

Wheelchair accessibility: This location is very easy to access with a wheelchair. Large space inside.

I am home bound without a car, but with the best neighbors in the world.
One of them (M.) has lunch at S. Jenny's frequently & started bringing me meals from there, knowing I don't cook much for myself.
Over the months I have enjoyed the variety of soups and chili, along with a fresh roll, fruit & cookie.
Quality has always been excellent, fresh and delicious.
The quality of the food is superseded only by the loving generosity of my friend. Thank you for warming my belly.
