My absolute favorite place to lounge, do remote work, or even breakup with trash dating prospects.

The coffee wasn’t good at all and wasn’t warm, let alone hot. The macaroon was also pretty bad but the atmosphere was nice and the service was good. The other issue was that their wifi was spotty and didn’t work… considering it’s a popular work spot, they should work on that.

Vibe is good and coffee is good. The wifi never works which is a tough situation if you are trying to use the coffee shop during the day to get stuff done.
Since a wonderful place. The space is intimate and the foods are all delicious.
Parking: Parking is available with a short walk.

This place is a hidden gem (and I'm speaking strictly for visitors to the city) and I loved it. Calm, cool, and quiet atmosphere that's great for working, reading, and just chilling with friends. Coffee shop but also serves alcohol- isa win.

Absolutely loved this space and I see why it stays packed. It's such a cute spot to meet with friends, grab a drink, and read by yourself. Just don't forget to put your laptop away by 5pm for the wine bar. ?

Had a delicious mocha latte during a work meeting, love that you can reserve a spot, also very nice that is woman owned. Love the wine and coffee combo for those early evening or end of the week work days. Can’t wait to return. The super cute decor makes for a relaxing aesthetic environment.

**Racism on Full Display at The Reading Room: A Disgusting Experience**
If you’re looking for a coffee shop where racism is alive and well, *The Reading Room* is the place for you. My recent visit to this pretentious excuse for a coffee shop was easily the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had—and that’s putting it lightly.
As I was quietly working on my laptop, like everyone else in the café, a rude, older white woman (probably in her 40s) stormed over to me. Without warning, she clapped her hands right in my face in a shockingly aggressive manner and snapped, **“I’m going to need you to close your laptop!”** Her tone was dripping with hostility, and the hand-clapping gesture was demeaning and humiliating.
What made this experience even worse was the fact that I noticed several other patrons—who just so happened to be white—still working on their laptops after 5 PM. Funny how they didn’t receive the same hostile treatment or the “close your laptop” demand, huh? Clearly, this woman had a problem, and it wasn’t just with laptops—it was with *me*. The double standard was glaring, and it was impossible to ignore the racism that was being served along with their overpriced coffee.
It’s 2024, and yet here we are, still dealing with this kind of blatant, unashamed discrimination in what’s supposed to be a welcoming environment. If you’re a person of color, do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. The Reading Room has no respect for you, and they’ll make sure you know it.
This establishment doesn’t deserve a single cent from anyone who values respect, decency, or equality. Absolutely disgusting.

Nice place, decent coffee, open late - but they have a ridiculous "no laptop" rule after 5 p.m., which flies in the face of the modern coffeehouse. Yes, they'll come around and tell you to shut it.
Sat down in front of the bar. 3 servers at the bar and no word of acknowledgment of our presence we were 3 people. We were there for almost 10 min.
People don’t have any costumer service skills anymore.

Haven’t tried the food there yet but the atmosphere makes me feel like I’m in a chic Parisian neighborhood without being pretentious. (Wish Decatur had more of this.). Staff are super helpful and the drinks are fabulous. Had great suggestions for cocktails. Perfect noise level at night and they ask folks to not have laptops in the evening. (Nice little change of pace). Outdoor seating let us bring our pup and they brought water for her. Will be back for some food soon!

The space is beautiful and inviting. The coffee is delicious. I would give it 5 starts but the food menu particularly the breakfast menu could be improved. Maybe quiche, egg sandwiches m, avocado toast. The ham and Brie sandwich on the lunch menu is DELICIOUS!
