Currently open for dine in and takeout! I got the Hae Jang Guk (Korean hangover stew), and it was authentic and delicious. Definitely did not skimp out on the meat and veggies! The side dishes were fresh and delicious too. Going to drop by every time I come visit and have a craving for authentic Korean food.

Updated Feb 2021 They are open for dine in and togo. A traditional Korean restaurant serving mainly Suh Lung Tang. A traditional beef bone broth soup. This is my go to spot for this dish! And also to note they have a dish, Hae Jang Guk (Hangover Soup) that is really good as well. The base broth they use for all of their soups is one of the best I've tried and reminds me of home. They are pretty old school and might have some trouble speaking English if you are not going with someone who is Korean. Keep this in mind!

The food was good but service was terrible. She literally told me to pay for a tip even for to-go.

Terrible service and the waitress demands tips. Don't go here. I don't need rudeness and disrespect served with my Korean food.

I went here today and the server brought me someone else's dish. After I told her that I got the wrong dish I was yelled at because she thought she was wrongfully getting blamed at after I made a mistake or something. A second later, another table also started complaining that they got the wrong dish. Only then she brought over what I originally ordered from the other table and casually apologized. What a freak show. Avoid this place at all cost unless you like getting barked at for no reason.

So far so good...

Best place in town for do-ga-ni soup. (That's cow knee cartilage. Full of collagen. Chewy and tasty.)

Food 5/5, service 3/5, ambience 3/5 If you miss authentic Korean beef stew, this place is it. This place boasts the history and is favored by many old-timers. They also have the Korean hangover stew, which is way better than American hangover remedy. This place has the best soups and stew. If you were discouraged by other reviews, their review is based on other menu item. It's like going to a taco place and review the place for Mexican chicken soup.

Low key restaurant but has some bomb A sullungtang and do-gani-tang! I value the korean restaurants that serve you the 3 types of kimchi traditionally as you would eat it in korea.

No frills traditional Korean bone broth soups and meat dishes in a quieter part of BuHi. Bon Ga is located couple of miles north of the perimeter in the Global Forum shopping center. I visited during a weekday lunch. PSA: open 9:30am-10pm 7 days a week! I've requested Yelp to update the hours. This is NOT a tofu house... in fact no tofu on the menu! +. Ambiance is light Asian...screen doors and sectioned booths and tables for more intimate setting. It's not fancy but newer and clean. There's a ceiling level TV with Korean news but wasn't loud. It wasn't busy...about 10 older customers who spoke Korean and some were reading Korean newspapers. Noise level was on the quieter side...very pleasant and I liked the casual vibe! ++. Their menu is small... 8-11 soups and 8 meat mains. BG specializes in traditional Korean bone broth soups with rice noodles and rice cakes and traditional meat dishes. Most soups are beef bone broth based but they also offer oxtail, pork and other base as well. Another specialty is their cold noodles bowls / soups offered during summertime. For dry mains, common dishes such as bibimbap, galbi, bulgogi, pork belly, seafood pancakes are offered. Pork blood sausage is less common at restos but you can get them here. I came to BG for ddukguk, rice cake in bone broth before going to BFM. I'd been going to Dish for the same soup that isn't on the menu for the past couple of years. Happily, I found it on the menu here and BG is more authentic! It was perfectly creamy white and rich depth with chewy rice cakes :-)). Banchan-wise, a handful of different kimchi and seasoned soybean sprouts. Not too many but they were on point...unlike many places, they weren't sugared, more fermented but not over-ripe and spicy! Beverage is Korean tea or water. Food-wise, BG is an impressive little traditional! +. Service was friendly. You seat yourself here...no sign or greeter. A couple of Korean ladies wait and cash. They were prompt upon seating with the menu and order. The food came out in about 10 minutes - piping hot! They don't really check on you so you have to flag them, but they are friendly and prompt with requests. English is not a problem here ;-) ++. Price is pretty reasonable. Figure $10-$15 pp for lunch and $15-$25+pp for dinner. They offer lunch specials from 11am-2:30pm. Credit cards are accepted. +. Parking is shared, free and easy. Overall, I'm thrilled and BG will be my go-to for my bone broth fix! Bon Ga is perfectly not over crammed and over sugared mediocrity....just a great spot for decent traditional Korean comfort fare!
