This is obviously a family owned restaurant. We were greeted quickly and in a friendly fashion. We started ordering, we were informed that they were out of multiple menu items (namely "buns". No buns, but it's the bun factory. Good thing this wasnt a date for me, I would have ended up with no buns all around) .I asked for hot sauce and was brought hot chili garlic oil, but there was no oil. It looks like the oil dried up in 1972.Me and my wife ordered the same thing and it taste like two completely different restaurants made the dish. One was good and the other wasn't.The food was average, at best, and the family operating the busines seemed like they might be very inattentive to things in the restaurant.I like this family and i wish them the best, but i can't see myself coming back or recommending this place to anybody.

The food is fantastic! It's a family friendly space. My only criticism is that they were understaffed, and staff needed to be reminded of things.Overall, it was a great time!

Bun Factory is a family-owned restaurant known for using fresh quality ingredients in their modern interpretation of Chinese cuisine and dim sum. The restaurant is a nice blend of modern design with Asian accents. We loved the wall with pictures of some of the menu items. Customer service was solid and the dishes came out quickly and piping hot as completed. My husband and I ordered Steamed Mini Crab Soup Buns, Steamed Milk Custard Buns, Green Onion Pancakes, Dry Beef Chow Fun, Sesame ChickenOverall, we felt all of the savory dishes were prepared well but lacked proper seasoning. The Sesame Chicken was crispy. The Chow Fun contained carrots, scallions, egg, and bean sprouts. The noodles of the Chow Fun were appropriately chewy, and the steak tender. While we enjoyed the crispness of the outside and the inside chew of the green onion pancakes, I would have liked more scallion flavor. I enjoyed the soup broth and the dumpling texture; however, the filling of the Steamed Mini Crab Soup Buns needed more flavor. Also, note that the soup buns are small as stated in the name. I did enjoy the sauce that came with the soup buns and pancake.I would come back for the Milk Custard Buns. They were soft and delicate with a creamy, lightly sweet filling. Bun Factory was out of the Siu Mai and Shrimp Dumplings when I visited, so I may have to come back to try those, the BBQ Pork Buns, and the Chicken and Sticky Rice. Portion sizes for the non-dumpling/bun dishes are also impressive.

this place has really gone downhill. My wife and i used to love coming here. the portions were great and the flavor was on-point. However, on our recent trip we found the portions to be half what it used to be and the execution to be extremely lacking as if it was an entirely different restaurant. None of the dishes tasted like they used to. Also, even though we were the only customers it took forever to order with zero service. Won’t be coming back here again.

Im not sure why I’ve never heard about this place. Service was great. We came for Mother’s Day and were seated immediately. The place is nicely decorated inside, great for family dining, very spacious. Food was delicious. Reasonably priced. Although the stir fried beef chow fun was not what we expected, a bit too saucy and wet for what we normally have. But all the dishes we ordered were flavorful. Definitely try the braised beef and Walnut Shrimp. I was impressed at how much food was given in each dish. Loved the snow pea leaves. Definitely coming back to try their other dishes.

This is place is disgusting and a disgrace to Asian food everywhere. Not sure who is writing the reviews, but the food is awful. The service is dry and subpar. The buns tasted terrible. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that most of the reviews have photos, but the food do not look anything like the pictures. If you enjoy good Asian food, do NOT eat here.

All of the food here is amazing, but the appetizers especially are standout

Stay away from the bao! We ordered one of each type, and as soon as the soup dumplings were placed in front of me I knew they were store bought because I've totally bought them at one of the grocers in Duluth. The BBQ pork bun was also store bought and the pan fried pork bun was extremely greasy and the best felt mealy. The beef in chili oil was okay, but the bowl was mostly filled with bean sprouts. The salted fish, tofu hotpot was AWFUL. We're pretty sure the fish was going bad.Save yourself the trouble and go to one of the more authentic places on Buford highway.Edit: I forgot we got the string beans too - those were good!

We came around 4pm on a Sunday. There were lots of dim sum choices, but since it was later in the day they were out of some of them. Very fast and friendly service. Large spacious tables. Very large menu with tons of options (no beer or wine). We loved the salt & pepper squid, chow fun, pot stickers & leek & shrimp dumplings. The only thing we were not a huge fan of was the pork buns. The meat was greasy with an odd taste and too dense (not tender). We would definitely come back again. The women's bathroom was ice cold (not sure if heat was broke).

Food was delicious! I completely forgot to take photos, but everything was so so tasty! Highly recommend the scallions pancakes and the dry chow fun!Service was okay, but not super super attentive. Asked for water and they got it for most of the table and then ran out and said they'd be back but they forgot, which happens so it was fine.
