The service is terrible. They will forget about you and pretend not to see you when you need something. We watched everyone who came after us get their food. I had to call another server and explain what was going on because our waitress completely forgot to put our order in. They Definitely need to improve in serving their customers, especially if they add their own tip on the receipts.
The food is very good, well prepared and full of flavor. I have no complaints about the quality of the food itself.
However, my experience was affected by the way the tip was handled.
The server told us that the tip had to be included based on the value of the food, even though we only ordered two mini platters. My issue is not really about the amount of the tip, but about how it was presented, in a way that felt forced and misleading, as if tipping was mandatory when it should not be.
Tips should be voluntary and based on the service received, not something imposed on customers through pressure or unclear information.
It’s unfortunate, because the food is genuinely good, but this situation left a bad impression.

Good Good!
Great food still can improve a little, portions are huge, service is ok and be careful always ask for paper bill cause they include 18% tip and try to charge you in a sneaky way so u will give more even if not deserved... The prices are fair

Worst Restaurant Experience We’ve Had
We came back to Casa Vieja after a few months hoping for a good meal, but this visit was by far the worst restaurant experience we’ve ever had.
First, we were seated at a tiny table that was uncomfortable even though there were better tables available. Our server, Xioamara, took an incredibly long time to even approach our table, and when she finally did, she seemed completely clueless and inattentive about us and our order. She forgot to bring our additional water, straws, forgot the sauce we asked for more than once, and we ended up needing to ask another server just to get the basics.
To make things worse, we noticed a cockroach under our table as soon as we sat down. We should have left right then, because that alone said everything about the hygiene and cleanliness of this place, but we decided to stay and honestly, we regret it.
The final straw was we were charged the wrong amount, apparently the bill for the table next to us which was almost $200. On top of that, an 18% tip was automatically added even though the service was terrible and absolutely did not earn it.
When we called the restaurant afterward, the experience got even more unprofessional. Someone answered by making childish noises and hung up. When we called again, a manager told the employees to be quiet and said he had been expecting our call. Instead of fixing the incorrect charge properly by canceling and reprocessing it, he told us he would “Zelle” us the difference. Completely unacceptable.
The food wasn’t good either. At this point, you’re better off going to any other Colombian restaurant, even if it’s farther away. If you’re looking for a trashy, frustrating dining experience, go ahead and waste your money here. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and stay far away.

Great food, price and service.
Food was just ok, but living in Miami for 20+ years I was spoiled.
Service started out great, but ended terribly as it felt our waitress completely forgot about us. We had to flag down two other staff members to get our box and check.
My biggest pet peve for any restaurant is gratuity already included.
3 people, 3 entrees, 2 drinks and an appetizer was $90+ dollars. Crazy expensive for mediocre Latin food.

The food was tasty, although I do think the empanadas were a bit dry because they were reheated. My only issue is that they’ve changed the prices but haven’t actually updated the prices on the menus. A juice that is supposedly $3.50 is actually $6. Overall it’s a good restaurant but you do end up feeling cheated when they charge you double the price that’s written on their menus.
