Small family restaurant with amazing food. My server Rey was super polite and his energy was infectious. The charcoal skewers had an amazing charcoal flavor and there seasoning mix is spicier than most, which I personally love. They also make some of the best fried rice I've ever had and their meal deals are great for dining on a budget.

This is the best restaurant in Atlanta and honestly, it’s a travesty the Michelin guide didn’t name drop them. I’ve done the Little Bear, Lazy Betty, Omakase Table, Georgia Boy, Southern Belle etc. etc. but this place has the best food of all of them, not kidding an inch.

The food is astonishingly good and consistent. We’ve been more times than I can count, and it’s ALWAYS incredible. Their chicken skewer is the best chicken I’ve ever had, and I’m a chicken fiend – I always go for chicken over other meats. I’ll have my ā€œusualā€ of chicken and a half order of stinky tofu then try something new every time and it’s always mouth watering and delectable. Whatever the new thing is, it’s the best version of it - smoky, salty, bright, pickley, cheesy, sweet. From the pork belly with sauerkraut to corn cheese – all phenomenal.

Would highly, highly recommend the shredded potato cold dish as a respite of refreshing-ness between unctuous and salty bites of meat! My partner loves the lamb, special lamb, beef, and Taiwan sausage skewers so having something cold, sharp, and a little tangy works very well to balance it all out. But no worries for the vegetarians in the parties - there's SO many veggie options. You could eat twelve feasts just based on the veggie options, and it's so varied! It’s all amazing beer food, and for sober folks or a sober dinner a Jia Duo Bao works just as well – it’s a sweet herbal tea that’s absolutely fantastic to pair with the salty barbecue.

The stinky tofu I also have to shout out – it’s one of my fav things on the menu, only beneath the chicken because that chicken is so trandescent. Even if stinky tofu doesn’t sound like your thing I’d still 1,000% recommend trying it. It’s some of the best fried tofu you’ll ever have!! So crispy on the outside, then inside is this creamy, soft tofu that has its own mild flavour. The sauce on top is funky and delicious, with tons of umami and salt and a little bit of sour – imagine how delicious and mildly funky a good mac and cheese with super sharp cheddar is. That’s this tofu, but then adding cilantro and chili on top that make it so refreshing despite the savouryness underneath. Such an incredibly balanced dish with all the textures and flavours you could ever want. It’s perfect and unique. Try it and you’ll thank yourself later!

This is all not to mention the place itself. It’s adorable. There’s a few tables and we always manage to snag one despite it always being busy enough. It feels homey and real, not manufactured and corporate. I always know they’re handmaking the food from scratch, and not just because you can see the kitchen. Also, they have the napkins hanging in bags on the ceiling which is a game changer for food like this. It's so brilliant, I keep wondering why other restaurants don't do that when I go elsewhere.

The managers/owners/front facing folks are so lovely and nice. They’re super friendly and always happy to answer questions. I adore them and I’m always so happy to see them!! They also sell their delicious spice mix, which is a huge plus! You’ll def want to take some home after rolling some barbecued tofu skin in it.

They also have plenty of other food outside of shao kao, so don’t feel like you have to choose just one type of food.

And on top of all of that, leftovers are easy to pack up and take home, and make some amazing food for the next day. Attached is leftover middle street chicken in cold grilled noodles/kao leng mian with their awesome house made spice on top.

This place is the best food in Atlanta. Don’t pass it up!!

Crazy Skewers offers skewers that taste great, and I really appreciate that they use charcoal grilling, which makes a huge difference in flavor. The smoky, authentic taste sets them apart from others. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely come back again.

The skewers are crazy good, but they also excel at other things on the menu. We ordered so much and were too busy eating to remember to take pictures of everything.

Highly recommend the lamb skewers, the chicken wings, and the tofu skin skewers. As a huge fan of Chinese KFC’s ā€œNew Orleans-styleā€ wings I have craved this flavor of wings for years, and they do it so well here! Didn’t take long for skewers to start arriving as soon as we ordered.

The menu offers such an amazingly wide variety of options.

Absolutely love their Malatang (soup) - you’ve got to order it. It does not come in covered in oil as one might suspect Malatang to be. The soup is flavorful and packed with variety of vegetables - lotus roots, enoki mushrooms, woodears, baby bok choys and all the other goodies.

Then there’s the $1 each handmade dumplings. Unjustifiably good for the price. So glad we added that to the order! Freshly made-to-order, packed with juicy filling. So juicy that it should be sold as soup dumplings. Better than all the soup dumplings I’ve had in Atlanta so far, and it’s not even advertised as such!

The decor reminds me of street food in China. They take care of their customers here. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, and you can’t ask for more quality or quantity-wise at such decent prices. We left full and happy. We will come back again and again.

Wife and I went here today for the first time. Best skewers in Atlanta, but you MUST get their other items!!! Specifically, their dumplings (extremely reasonable pricing for the amount of meat), their soups (try the spicy vegetable soup), and their cold noodles are AMAZING. I am so happy that this place exists - please spend your money at amazing local spots like this!

We’ve been going here for a while now and it’s always a wonderful experience. It does have limited seating but worth the wait and it’s kid friendly. The best way to describe it is homey!

Such a nice place with nice servers! Food so good I forgot to take a picture but I recommend the lamb kabob and the special beef kabob. I also recommend planning to eat about 10 skewers per person.

Very tasty skewers with good prices and so many meat options. Their fried rice is also delicious. Great lunch spot I’ll be coming back to.
