After patronizing this wonderful restaurant for over 15 years it’s time to let my secret out. I lived in Korea for a year and haven’t experienced this level of authentic Korean freshness and hospitality since. The owner makes all the vegetable dishes she serves you herself…yes, she will be serving you personally. That includes the Kimchee and Doenjang (fermented soybean paste). The latter takes her 2 years to make!! I love the food and the warm service here so much that I have added this restaurant to my advanced directive…it’s my requested last meal, should I be so lucky. :-). Once you've eaten here you will understand why her walls are covered with "Best of Atlanta' awards dating back two decades.
Vegetarian options: The wonderful vegetable side dishes (Banchan) are the best part of eating here. And she is always creating something new and exciting.
Parking: Lots of free parking. :-)

FANTASTIC!!! Hands down one of the best dining experiences of my life. We ordered a few meats and everything was cooked at the table. The side dishes were delicious and we were shown the best way to be able to taste everything. I can't wait to come back.

The food, the staff, and, of course, the atmosphere give the most nostalgic feeling possible. They ooze with warm hospitality, and the food alone is made with the most caring craftsmanship. This place is a must go! And anyone who decided to put a one star either has no taste or they didn't get hugged enough as a child. Shout out to the staff!! <3

Honestly best korean bbq out there. I've been coming here for years and the quality of food is always so good. They make the sides here and have very high quality meats. The service is excellent as well.

Best Korean BBQ place in georgia ever. This place captures a homely atmosphere, and that fact that time feels frozen allows for a peaceful contemplative experience in this extremely fast-paced society. You'll get full ordering 2 sets of kalbi grill, the side dishes and rice is enough to get full. The way the side dishes are seasoned is meant to optimize rice consumption. This feels like a restaurant you would find in a local town in Korea, so do check it out. The trendy places are too inauthentic because of who they carry themselves. For the homies that were born in the 2000s-2010s, this place straight bussin and I'm not capin frfr.

Hae Wood Dae has been my favorite for more than a decade. I’ve tried other Korean Barbecue places, but I keep coming back here. The owner makes the seasonal banchan herself, and her kimchi is wonderful, and to have the meat cooked over charcoal at the table is far superior to the gas cookers at other places. It’s not the fanciest or the cheapest, but it is definitely the best. Don’t sleep on this place.
