We had a fantastic first time at LanZhou. The hand made noodle dishes where amazing and the Pork Fried Buns were so good! The portions are huge and we definitely had to take more food. The chicken fried rice and Ramen blew us away. The wait was short because we just missed the rush, after 7pm you WILL have to wait for a table. The popularity of this place is obvious. The service and food were worth driving to Buford Hwy for. Also, they have a new location in Kennesaw we are excited about. In 2923 they got "Recommended" by Michelin Guide, now we know why.

I literally just left, and to say I am disappointed is an understatement. I ordered the beef and shrimp pulled noodles, and my husband ordered the roasted duck pulled noodles with vegetable dumplings. The water was tap. The dumplings were scorched. The food smelled funny. The beef tasted processed, the shrimp were chewy, and there was no flavor in the broth. It wasn't spicy, salty, sweet, bitter, NOTHING. We didn't even finish nor take our food. We paid $54 plus a tip (because the waitress was okay) for food that was less than mediocre. We're sitting in the car right now because my husband is too nauseous to drive. I make better ramen at home, and I'm American ?

We got the noodle stir fry and some pot stickers. Food was very good, pork was excellent. Apparently a very popular place. We got there early, but it was a huge line behind us, so recommend being early.

This is going to be a short review. The food is just amazing, I love the hand pulled noodles, I just wish I lived closer. The service is great. Sometimes, there's a wait. Just check in at the front desk, and they'll work you in a soon as possible. The ambiance is great, you have a window you can look at the cooks making the fleshly made dough for the noodles, I love this place.

Overall good food and service. It seemed that they were remodeling the place, so we weren't impressed with the ambiance. The food was good and the service was very quick.

Ordered Chefs special noodle soup and fried dumplings. Fried dumplings were good but I thought a little undercooked for my taste. They were fully cooked but had a doughy consistency- just not my preference. Noodle soup was honestly not flavorful. Came with beef, chicken, shrimp, squid, and mussels. For something that had all of that in it, I was surprised to find the broth to taste like water. The noodles are hand pulled- which is impressive- but are super dense to the point I was only able to eat about 1/3 of the soup. I think they were too thick for me- but you could ask for them to be cut thinner which would probably help. Service was ok, there were a ton of people when I went so I wasn't expecting an overly attentive server. However, I think that the some of the issues that I experienced above would have been resolved had it not been for the minor language barrier. Asking questions was difficult, suggestions couldn't be given. Ambiance was authentic, a good place to bring someone who's familiar with Buford Highway. Clearly a popular spot, every table was full. I think I would have a better time going again knowing what I know now, but I don't think I can justify $35 for every test meal I have there.

My hometown comfort food, as good as the LA one if not better. They can be busy during rush hours and service is your typical Asian restaurant’s 3.5 sweet spot level.

Doesn't live up to the hype. There are plenty of restaurants to get freshly made noodles like these, it's nothing special for this area. The service was very mediocre, I don't think I got a single "thank you" the entire time. It felt like the waiter was staring at us the entire time, and when it came time for the check, they took forever. Like most restaurants in the area, it feels like the owners have never sat down at their own tables before. You have all that space, why not make better use of it? It's crammed. For the food, it's okay, nothing blew me away. The noodles were good but again, not an uncommon thing given the area. There's better out there. What really made it bad was the pork buns. I don't know if they happened to run out, but there was nothing on the plate to soak up the grease. I still feel sick, I can't get the taste of oil out of my mouth, it's driving me crazy.
