Went to try this relatively new banh mi place on 2/15. But all the banh mi were not for sale. The person working there (gong cha is the same place) said no banh mi for that week, come back next week. Next week on 2/22 I come back and there is also no banh mi. I give it some more time, and come back 3/13. Now there is a sign that Mama's Banh Mi will be closed for lunar new year until 2/27, but it's already two weeks past that and still they do not have banh mi for sale of any type. The person working inside had no explanation or further estimate. With bad / no information over a month with 3 visits, I have to give up on it.

Great sandwiches. Great deal on the 5 + 1 free package. I bought 2 pkgs for watching college CFP football game. It was a hit, especially with the various sandwiches. My favorite is the Offal Sandwich, not found anywhere else. I will be back. We ordered untoasted, then heat in oven.

This baguette is sensational. I ate an entire toasted chicken Bahn mi and it did not hurt my palate! Fresh, crunchy veggies and good chicken. Price is unbeatable for the size of sandwich. Go for it.

No Bueno. The packaging of banh mi is nice, but that's as good as it gets. The grilled pork banh mi had a TON of fat. Once you remove all the fat out, there's barely any meat left. The quality of food here is not good. For $5.49 per sandwich, I'd rather go elsewhere (i.e. Be Banh Mi). Service: Slow. The operation they're running is not efficient. They ran out of grilled pork at 10 am on a weekend. Parking: Plentiful and free. Would not recommend it.

Yuck. Bread was good and that was about it. Grilled chicken was wet and soupy. Odd off fishy flavor. Didn't finish our sandwiches. Iced tea was good. I can't believe I cheated on Lee's Bakery - won't make that mistake again. Update. Manager called after noticing we didn't eat our food and credited us back. Still can't get that nasty fishy taste out of my mouth.

Their competitor down the street was "out of bahn mi" so rushed to Yelp to find a banh mi that might satisfy my wife and found this place (which i had been to before but i'm kinda d**** and picked up a couple of pork sandwiches, a special, and a chicken. They kindly offered to separate the veggies from the sandwich for whatever i might be eating the next day, but I was lazy and said just make all the sandwiches. They were a 5 to me, a 4 to my wife, and I'm sure i'll be back. They checked all of the boxes - freshness, flavor, service, and deliciousness.

The Bulgogi beef and chicken banh mi were delicious! My picky loved it. The lemon yogurt and taro drinks were great as well. I'll definitely be back and happy to find a good banh mi place to go to.

Bubble teas and banh mi at one location. Delicious Thit Nuong with tender, juicy, flavorful pork and a great sauce. Bo Nuong was just as good with delicious steak and fresh veggies.Flaky, soft, fresh bread, crisp and tasty veggies and well-prepared meats. Bubble tea was good as well.Tasty and recommended.

No. American "fast food" version of a Vietnamese classic. No comparison to the real thing.Interesting that this is located on Buford Highway as less than an eighth of a mile south and at Buford and Clairmont you can get the authentic taste, flavors, plenty of garden spice additions, and a generous helping of your meat selection.Three sandwich selections. Not impressed by any of them. Our taste evaluations, some with native taste buds, yours may differ.

Bahn mi inside the Gong Cha boba shop. Bread was soft and fluffy, slightly crisp outside (ordered toasted). Sandwiches are very customizable and they give a lot of options when ordering (i.e., what condiments and vegetables if any). It was pretty good for a good price.

Really good pork banh mi! Beef patty banh mi was pretty good as well. Fresh veggies with the meat and a nice soft yet crispy on the outside roll. Fries for $3.50 lacked salt. Drink selection is huge. Brown sugar boba was just ok.Service is still a work in progress at this fairly new place. Had to take a star away due to this. We waited 45 minutes for 3 banh mi, fries and a bubble tea. I am glad the place is busy but they have to get a better system down to get food out quicker.

The store uses Snackpass app, which allows you to place an order ahead of time. It is sharing a space with Gongcha so you can order bubble teas as well. However, service was very slow and they were out of many ingredients. It took an hour to get 2 bubble teas and 3 bahn mi sandwiches to go. The store also had minimum AC running, making the wait time very unpleasant. Will probably get my bubble teas and bahn mis from elsewhere in the future.

Mama's Banh Mi is co-located at the same address (same entrance) with Gong cha Tea. Free parking is available in a shared lot that the customers of businesses at this small strip mall use. R and I came here, wanting to try a banh mi sandwich. On the sign on the outside of the building, we knew we found the right place when we saw the Mama's Banh Mi logo right above the Gong cha Tea logo. We walked in, and saw both of the logos/signs for the businesses. Upon entering, we were just looked at by the employees who are completely separated from customers by clear plexiglass at the front counter, and on the side of the food and drink prep area by opaque plexiglass. Ordering was easy. Two kiosks allow customers to place orders for both of the businesses and pay for purchases. Per the menu, all sandwiches include radish, sour carrots, jalapeno, butter mayo, cucumber, cilantro and a special Mama's sauce. We both ordered banh mi sandwiches with grilled pork. I ordered mine with all of the regular items on it, plus pate. R ordered his with no butter mayo, no sauce, no pate and extra veggies. R got notification that the order would take up to 15 minutes to make, but we got our food within 5 minutes when an employee came out from the food prep area with two small bags containing our wrapped sandwiches. R thought his sandwich was good. I didn't care at all for my sandwich. The good: The sandwich was pretty big for the price ($5.47) and was firm. There was a good amount of grilled pork in it. The not-so-good: There was way too much of the odd tasting special Mama's sauce, so much that it made the bread too mushy by the time I had eaten half of the sandwich. The grilled pork lacked flavor. Instead of just the cilantro leaves, my sandwich included the hard, thick cilantro stems that I had to pull out of my mouth because they were just too chewy and inedible. The cucumber slices were cut way too thick and the peels were left on. While this is usually okay, in this instance, they were just awful because the peels were also thick, chewy and inedible. I was pulling these out of my mouth too. I didn't taste even a hint of the pate, and I didn't get any jalapeño in the sandwich. Honestly, I was expecting more of a traditional banh mi, with all of the familiar flavors and textures. I was definitely not a fan of this sandwich, and left disappointed.
