Food was good, they got us in right away 30 mins before close.
I'm a meat-eater married to a vegetarian and I love this place. Food is fantastic and filling. I especially love the olive fried rice, but everything we've tried has been great. This is not a fancy restaurant, but it is clean and comfortable.

I was looking for Malaysian/Singaporean food and stopped here, and it was delicious! Juju was very friendly and helped me decide between all of the delicious dishes!
I grew up in Singapore and felt the curry puffs and beef chow fun were perfectly authentic. The beef chow fun had a char that is indescribable - reminded me a lot of the char on properly done satay. The curry puffs were soft and buttery and perfectly crispy.
I also ordered the hainanese curry noodle soup that was also excellent - the chicken was tender even though it’s fried, and the curry was similar to a curry laksa.
Overall, highly recommend, and I will be back!

The tofu potato and chicken were both cut into pieces that were way too large; they really could have been cut smaller so they’d absorb the flavor better. The curry tasted like it had a lot of MSG in it, and I felt like drinking water afterward.

Mamak has been on my list for a while rn, so headed over to try this popular Malaysian spot on a Saturday evening. It was quite crowded so we put down a spot on the waitlist. The wait wasn’t too long and we got seated fairly quickly. It is a bit crammed in there and gets noisy ofc since the tables are quite close to each other.
We ended up getting their curry puff pastry and Kari fish fillet that comes with rice. Both of the dishes were absolutely delicious! Explosion of flavor, not as spicy as I would have liked but overall great!
There were so many other dishes that I wanted to try but their menu is large and love that they label what are in the dishes. We got the food very quickly and overall glad I tried the spot.
This complex gets quite busy as it is in the Sweet Hut plaza so be prepared to look for parking and there are some spots tucked away in the back.

I LOVE Mamak! It’s been one of my favorite restaurants for the past three years. The staff is always nice and service is very quick.
Truly some of my favorite food in the city. These are my favorites:
Roti Canai - the best roti I’ve ever had with a perfect curry
Green Beans
Sambal Okra
Congee with Century Egg and Pork - a perfect, gingery rice porridge
Kari Fish Filet - fish in a delicious curry
Hainanese Chicken - poached chicken with an amazing rice cooked in the chicken broth
Hainanese Chicken Loh Mee
Thai Tea - not too sweet, the best in the city

I have been coming here for years, even during the pandemic and picked up to support.
Lately the food has been a hit or a miss. So it has deterred me sometimes.
However, I picked up three dishes today and asked for one small hot sauce for my chicken and noodles and she smirked and said she has to charge me.
If this was always their policy then I understand. But every time something changes and they are not nice. As if they are doing me a favor by giving me food. Will not pick up from them anymore

Wow! Love this restaurant. The food is some of my favorite of all time. We love the Roti Canai and they will leave out the chicken for us pescatarians but sometimes they forget. We’ve also learned not to get the Roti to go as it doesn’t hold up well. Main dishes travel and heat up well. Also love the Kari fish with tofu and vegetables. A little pricey but the portion is so big that we can get 3-4 servings out of it. Not a cozy place, but not loud either. Service is always great.

Food was sooooo delicious!!! I just got over the flu or something like it, and this was just what I needed 💕 The curry chicken has the perfect curry flavor!! The sesame chicken taste perfect! I ended up mixing the curry chicken and olive fried rice with the pumpkin soup, AMAZING combo! Not really a fan of the eggplant but it’s not bad. Most of this would have came with a side of rice, I opted out and chose to only get the olive fried rice. The sesame chicken and Mongolian chicken that my bf ordered came with rice also. Delicious and healthy food option if you’re ever in the area.
