This is the worst Malaysian food I’ve ever had and I used to eat here frequently, ever since Penang closed down they stopped caring about how their food taste because it’s the only Malaysian food you can get and the prices are horrible from before for subpar quality food.

Buried in a strip mall along Buford Highway this small restaurant is outstanding. Food is tasty and prepared fresh. Service is efficient. Don’t expect a lot of chat. Just good eats and the price is fair. Try the mayo shrimp and walnuts or basil chicken, both are delicious.

This food was delicious. The roti canai especially was unbelievably good for such a simple dish. Service was excellent. The ambiance was nothing special but clean.

I wanted desperately to have some amazing food here. Being from Singapore - this food felt like home. The chicken fried rice was fantastic , no faults there however the lor mee was bland and nothing like you would get back in Malaysia or Singapore. However I did ask for some "sambal" or hot chili paste and vinegar (note they have no black vinegar) and it improved the dish Service was fast, great - No loud music, good space between tables - I have heard good things from this place so will be back in no time to try other dishes

This is my second time visiting this restaurant, the first time I visited was a year ago and it wasn’t the best experience. But I think this has changed a little bit. Like last time, the roti is a must get - very crispy, and nice combination with the dipping sauce.

Hands down. The best Hainanese chicken (might be THE only legit one in Atlanta I feel comfortable recommending to others). But it turned out they also have very good beef curry stew and fried rice! The Roti and curry appetizer is also tasty!!

I heard good things about this place, but my visit was disappointing. We ordered pretty quickly given that we were hungry and wanted to receive our food as soon as we could. Unfortunately, our two Roti Canai were given to the table next to us, and our entrees were about to be given to them as well until the waitress who took our order pointed it out. At the very least, it would have been nice to receive an apology, but we were faced with subpar service even after this. While the tables around us were checked in on, we were never asked if we needed anything or how the food was tasting. The Roti was disappointing in size for costing $5 when there are competitors that serve twice the size for a similar price. The other entrees were okay but not enough to cover up for the disappointing service. It just doesn't seem worth it to come back.

The service for the food was a little lacking in the sense that they gave our food, both the appetizers and entrees, to another table of customers without checking. There was no apology and they did not take it off of our receipt despite the other table eating it for free. Considering it was their fault, I feel cheated. In addition, the tables around us with white customers were given attention and checked in on, whereas we as Asians were NOT checked in on ONCE. The taste of the food was okay as well. Given that it is a Malaysian restaurant, we ordered their Hainanese Chicken, but it was not up to par with other places. It was dry and there was a lot of bone. Even aside from this, it was difficult to enjoy given the 80 on their health review. Ambiance embodies the same crowdedness and lack of service you'll find in a hospitals waiting room. Would definitely not recommend unless you want to have a bad evening.

Placed a take out order last week and had an amazing meal. We ordered the chefs special noodles, black pepper beef, curry lahska and 3 orders of the roti. We are all obsessed with the roti from here so we all wanted our own orders. The beef was super flavorful and not chewy. I could eat a whole order of those noodles myself. It ended up being so much food we saved the curry lahska for later.

Another hidden gem on Buford Highway! This restaurant takes me back my Singaporean hawker days! Roti Canai - Wow- they do this right. You can get veg and non veg versions. Char Kway Teow - so flavorful and really feels like you back in the hawker/mamak centre Laksa - way bigger than I imagined! Super tasty. They can make any noodle dish vegetarian too, which is a plus for my family. This place is a must try.

I have been a loyal customer of Mamak for many years and have developed close relationships with the staff. However, approximately one week ago, I visited the restaurant and noticed a significant decline in the quality of the food. Upon inquiring with the waiter, I was informed that the original owner, chef, and staff are no longer affiliated with the establishment...The food was absolutely horrible and not to mention the hospitality. I will definitely not going back ever again. ?

Food was okay. Not the biggest portions. We arrived later in the evening and when they mean they close at 9PM they mean it. Pretty rude if you ask me. We were told we had to leave at 8:59.
