This place is so unique and such a value add to the Atlanta food and social scene. Anytime I have visitors to Atlanta, I am so happy to bring them here. The food is great, the atmosphere is chill and chic and the service is always top notch.

Minhwa is a one of a kind spot where you will find delicious food and unique drinks. I usually hate Korean/Asian fusion but they know how to do it. I don't know where else you can get house made Makgeoli and Soju, especially of this quality.

Come. You won't regret it. You may want to take a few bottles home. ---I have taken a bottle to the motherland (South Korea) and the uncles approve!!!

I’m truly impressed to have found a place that elevates the soju experience while staying true to its roots. First and foremost, the restaurant produces its own spirits — including soju, makgeolli, and gin — all crafted in-house. Second, the cocktails are exceptional. Instead of forcing soju into conventional recipes, they thoughtfully design custom cocktails that highlight and complement its unique character. Third, the food is phenomenal — full of flavor and perfectly paired with the drinks. And finally, the owners and staff are passionate about what they do and make sure you are taken care of. I will definitely be back for more!

8/10!

Food:
The menu was small and pointed which I quite liked! Both my food and my man’s food was flavorful! I got the birds’s nest and he got the KFC sandwich. His sandwich a fries were so so so well seasoned and so good! My birds pasta was good too (it just came out like slightly cold. I would’ve wanted it to be hot.). Both flavorful and we were so hungry so we ate with zero complaints!

Drinks:
I got the yuza lemonade mocktail, he got the Georgia Beaches. They were both so good!!! I will definitely be back another day to order more drinks!!!

Service:
Our server was very attentive. He answered every question we had and the questions he didn’t know about he went to the back to ask the cook! Our food came out like 15 mins or so after we ordered and his sandwich was clearly still steamy as if it was jussst cooked fresh!

Ambiance:
The resturant itself is quaint, not many indoor seats! The design is very simple yet cool and modern!

Maybe they had a rough start (based on past reviews) but I had a good experience today!

Minhwa Spirits is a hidden gem blending innovative Korean-inspired cuisine with carefully crafted spirits. What sets their drinks apart is the yeast they import directly from Korea. This detail might seem small, but it is essential because authentic Korean yeast creates a distinct depth and balance in soju and other spirits that cannot be replicated with standard, locally sourced yeast. It gives their cocktails and house-made spirits a smoother finish and unique character that truly honors Korean traditions.

We sampled several dishes and were impressed across the board. The Cheesy Kimchi Fried Rice was an absolute standout, rich, comforting, and packed with umami. The spicy mayo and gochujang elevated the dish, while the mozzarella added just the right amount of creamy balance. We added bulgogi to ours, which brought a savory, slightly sweet element that tied everything together beautifully.

The Bibimbap was fresh and vibrant, with crisp vegetables, tangy pickles, and a satisfying gochujang kick. It is a perfect option for anyone who loves customizable, flavor-packed bowls.

For appetizers, the Beef Mandu (housemade) hit the mark with tender, flavorful filling and perfectly crisp edges. We also could not resist their take on the McRib, which was a fun, elevated twist on a nostalgic favorite, smoky, tangy, and indulgent.

Minhwa Spirits is not just a place to grab a bite; it is an experience. From the thoughtful sourcing of ingredients like their Korean yeast to the bold, creative menu items, every detail reflects care and craftsmanship. Whether you are there for a cocktail or a full meal, you will leave already planning your next visit.

Exceptional cocktails, spirits and beer all made on-site. Food was Fantastic too!! Would highly recommend for dates, families or even dining alone. Booths, tables, outdoor patio and bar service available. Super friendly and helpful staff!! Will definitely return!! Recommendations: Top 5 burger, delicious cold noodle dish, amazing chicken and can't wait to go back and try more!
The house rice lager had a great nose, was crisp and had a very clean finish. The strawberry makgeolli...just order it. Delicious!

Had the pleasure of dining at Minhwa Spirits for a fundraiser for Sarah Park who is running for Duluth City Council. Didn't realize I'd be coming to such a delicious and excellent establishment in the midst of great company. The food served here is Korean but also there were some pasta dishes and noodle dishes which were delicious and seemed like Asian fusion. The drinks served here are excellent as well as they serve cocktails that are soju based by a local supplier.
Friendly customer service and excellent vibes at Minhwa Spirits. Parking is plentiful.
So glad to have discovered this Gem of Georgia.
5 stars!

Never been disappointed at Minhwa every time I’ve gone, but the most recent visit with new chef was excellent. The smash burger was juicy & flavorful, wings were very meaty and delicious, and cheesy kimchi fried rice with bulgogi was just the way I liked it with perfectly seasoned meat. Bibimbap looked really good as well. I didn’t get to try their special vegetarian menu, Bird Nest, because it was gone before I could steal a bite. Ironically, it’s the only picture I have of the dinner.

Make sure to pair the food with their drinks, whether you get mixed drinks or makgulli(sp?). My favorite is their strawberry makgulli, but their cocktails are also a delight.

Went for Sunday Brunch. It only starts at 11am on Sunday, you can’t order before then. The food was overall good, my favorite was the chicken and waffle.

I absolutely love this spot! The atmosphere is fantastic — whether you're stopping by for a coffee, lunch, or dinner, it’s always a great place to unwind. I've tried everything from their daytime coffee to their cocktails, and the quality is consistently impressive.

For dinner, we ordered the KFC Sandwich, Double Smash Burger, Bulgogi Hoagie, and Beef Bibimbap — and every single dish was packed with flavor. Each bite felt carefully crafted and delicious.

The soju deserves a special mention — incredibly smooth, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with real care. You can truly taste the attention to detail in every sip.

What really sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff are not only friendly but also genuinely passionate about what they do. It’s the kind of hospitality that makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in.

This spot is an absolute gem!! The soju is on another level — smooth, balanced, and made with so much care that you can taste the craftsmanship in every sip. Pair that with their incredible food, and you’ve got the perfect night out. Everything on the menu feels thoughtfully created to match their drinks, and it just makes the whole experience feel special. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, laugh with friends, and just savor every moment.

And I can’t forget to mention the service — truly impeccable. The staff (which you will often come across the amazing co-owner James) is so friendly and genuinely passionate about what they do, which makes you feel right at home. It’s rare to find a spot that nails it across the board, but Minhwa Spirits delivers every time. Five stars, hands down — if you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out on one of the best local experiences around

Have had both food and cocktails (and even the coffee that Postern serves during the day) here since they've opened. It's a very unique concept and one we're fortunate to have in ATL! The food and cocktail program has evolved and gotten even better this past visit. The friends we brought here also really enjoyed it - looking forward to our next trip here!

I don’t give bad reviews but this one was a bit difficult to me. Service and food has really change since it used to be Ganji. We had a great time for their valentines dinner and coming back the food has really changed into an odd korean fusion but with expensive prices after Ganji left. i felt like the concept is kind of a novelty and i would recommended a pooncha, izakya or different korean fusions that’s more specialty for better food, cost and service.

Love this place! Great atmosphere and always a fun place to hang out or grab a bite to eat. I'm a vegetarian and they have a TON of great options on their new menu. The cocktail menu is also outstanding. One of the best places to visit in Doraville. Oh yeah - definitely buy a bottle of their soju before you leave so you can try some cocktail recipes at home!
