Tokyo Express Japanese Steakhouse & Seafood Restaurant

The Hibachi Steak is usually good every time I have been to Tokyo Express except today 08/23/2025. The steak was so tough that I could not chew it. I called and told the owner about it and they wanted me to bring it back and make another plate but I live 30 miles away and was not coming back. I won't ever go back to Tokyo ever again.

The service was horrible food was made wrong my wife asked for no muchrooms and when we told them that they took the plate and 5 seconds came back all they did was pick threw what they could off the plate and brought it back still had mushrooms in it if she was alergic they would not care they also serve poorly made sushi I love sushi but now I feel sick to my stomach after eating theirs I do not recommend at all ever like ever ever ever at all

Always the best. Wish the prices were lower but definitely better than Kobe which is the only other option for similar food in douglas. The owners and staff are great here. Always friendly and helpful and I chose to pay a little extra when it checks all the boxes. The hibachi steak plate is my favorite. Their grilled veggies OMG!!! I have actually just gotten a veggie plate. I love this place!!!

Love this place. The only place around where we live that I would ever eat Japanese.

Been coming here for 20 or more years since they opened, The Owners used to be polite humble and greatful for your business have changed, .. So The Famous Mustard sauce, they Claimed to Fame, with their Cheap ass Steak bits, Steak bits and Scollops plate , Over Priced , you get more Value at Longhorns Steakhouse, Stopped making said Mustard sauce, yet have No other sauce for Steak and Refused to make me any, even though they make it in-house . If I'm going to pay $60+ US hard earned dollars, I'll get Treated the way they Used to treat us for 20+ years, No Second Warning, We're Done ! We Recommend You Spend your Hard Earned Money, somewhere else where they appreciate and Value their Long Term Customers,

The chicken has a unique and less desirable teriyaki flavor profile. The steak was good though.

Teriyaki chicken and fried rice. Terrible. Honestly worse I've ever had. Restaurant is dirty with mushed food in floor.

The food wasn’t terrible but way overpriced for what you get , this place has been in business for years and I remember getting much larger portions years ago , for 18 bucks I just expected more meat on my plate

The food, that I could eat, was pretty decent. Would've been a 4 star but me and 2 other family members called in am order together. Not only did they not give me the salmon roll I ordered the instead gave me a California roll with crab and I have a huge shellfish allergy. Unfortunately we had just finished helping move my uncle so were ready to get home and didn't notice the mistake till back home 40 minutes away.

We got the Chicken Teriyaki and the shrimp Bowl. Chicken was dry and hard, shrimp had a funny taste to it. Usually it’s very good but today it was a hit or miss. The Philadelphia Roll was 8/10

I get sushi from here all the time. It's one of my favorite places to eat their shrimp and steak. Hibachi plates are good and fulfilling
