If your not at the counter you don't seem to be very important to the waitresses. Been a long time since I have been and will probably be a long time before I return. Sucks because the food is pretty good.

it was the worst experience that I've had at a restaurant. The food was awful. the cheese grits, before I can eat turned to water. The stake didn't even look like steak it looked more like chicken. I wanted to try a neighborhood diner. I see this is not the right place to go.

Down home dinner , best way to describe it...food is ok nothing to brag about but its just a hometown dinner

I ate here almost two weeks ago. Food was really good, and the bacon and sausage both seemed like a good quality. The waitstaff was a little strange. They seemed sweet, but not very attentive. Maybe they should consider assigned sections or table rotation. I am not sure who was supposed to be our server. The pancakes were the best i have had in a very long time. When we came in the sign said please wait to be seated, but we were ignored. I thought maybe we were welcome and wondered if we should vacate. One of the waitresses finally advised that we could sit anywhere we’d like. We’ll be back as the food is delicious and service has declined almost everywhere. Hopefully the waitresses just had an off morning or hadn’t woken up yet. I loved how quiet this place was. It’s definitely an old school diner.

Food is nasty- I ordered an omelette with well done hash browns- I got an omelette smothered in butter with 0 flavor- and almost raw hash-browns.after sitting at a table for about 40 minutes before my service even started. Menue is simple it does not have diner nostalgia. The Waitresses were nice enough when they finally bring service- but crowd and atmosphere is a little weird - the food is Disgusting-I mean, really disgusting. I felt gross eating it. Would never go back.

I ordered 2 egg whites scrambled, smoked sausage link, hash browns cooked well with cheese. I received my food in timely manner BUT...... My egg whites were not scrambled. They were slimy and runny!! The waitress had sat a plate on top of my hash browns and most of my cheese came off on the bottom of the plate. AND.... My hash browns were not cooked well. The waitress took my plat back and shortly came back out with what she took in except what hash browns that was left on my plate were now well done and only a little bit of cheese left on them!!!!!! I will not be eating here again!!!!

I just called to ask if they had rice and gravy today. The lady on the phone snapped at me and said, we've never had rice and gravy! Then hung up. I'm not a usual there so I didn't know! Excuse me for asking!!!! #BeKind

This was our first time to the Bankhead Diner and we had a great experience. The restaurant was very clean, the waitresses were friendly and food was great. We will be back!

I had the veggie plate for lunch and it was almost inedible. Everything was apparently out of a can, and overcooked. The greenbeans were mush! Service was sweet and kind. There wasn't one thing on my plate that was good. Im so sorry. I don't want to be unkind, but please upgrade the food if you want to expand your customer base. My husband had some kind of meat and veggies. His was intolerable as well. We will not recommend, nor go back. Maybe breakfast is good. How hard can it be to mess up eggs and bacon or sausage? Unless low quality? God bless yall.
