Church's Texas Chicken

After going here at least once or twice weekly for years this location lacks any customer loyalty or appreciation. Everyone there is very mechanical when dealing with customers. Today I decided I would never return again. It was something simple but I refuse to frequent places that don’t appreciate my business and hard earned money. Today I had already had lunch and was craving some sweet tea. So I drove around to the window and ordered a medium sweet tea with lite ice. Me thinking they would put a little less than the normal packed cup of ice. Instead they put literally about 5 or 6 cubes of ice in a very warm cup of tea. When I realized this I drove up to the entrance and went inside to see if they could give me a small cup of ice for my drink. I received a very mechanical no but they could give me a cup of ice for .54 cents. I explained again I just purchased the tea with almost no ice. Then manager asked me to go back outside and bring my cup in and he would add ice to it. But unfortunately it was already filled to the rim with no room for any ice. This is after already paying $3.54 for a medium size drink. Is it too much to ask to occasionally take care of a regular customer and not let them leave unsatisfied? I guess not. The funny thing is I know they pay millions of dollars yearly just to advertise to get people to maybe walk in their stores. And to lose a customer about .50 cents is were we are in today’s world.

I’ve been coming here since 2020 Gonzales has always had 5 star customer service. The food is always hot and well cooked!!

Chicken wasn't seasoned and cost too much for just 2 pieces. A wing and a leg.

I honestly give this place 1 star cause the manager does not give me good vibes and with a bad attitude and the tables were messy and I will never 👎 come back 😕🫤😐

So I pre-ordered food via church's website, WHY is the lobby locked & forced to wait in Drive-Thru behind what appears to be about 10 cars in front of me. The main reason I ordered online was so I can pull up,grab, & go.
This defeats the WHOLE purpose of ordering online, you assume when you arrive your food is ready, NO WAITING. The hours on the door clearly say 10am-11pm Fridays. I arrive at 8:20pm. Now my food has just been sitting for the last 35 min I've been in Drive-Thru. I can understand if it was near closing. It's 8, no reason I should have to go through Drive-Thru I ordered & paid online!

$12 plus dollars for a 2 piece dark meat and a biscuit... They don't tell you the total,just drive around.. Needless to say I burned rubber because I wasn't paying over $12 for a 2 piece dark!

I done an online order and didn't receive my potatoes my pepper my fries or 2 pieces of chicken ... very dissatisfied and I tried calling over 20 times Noone ever answers the phone so I couldn't get a refund or my items replaced

This was the worst place ever!!! We arrived around 9:15 they were out of food and said the were closed. The food was cold old and disgusting. The management seemed as though they had just came off the streets.

We told them that we didn't want the guy that just went outside and peed beside the dumpster and smoking then come back in and starting serving chicken.we didn't want him to touch our chicken and everyone was laughing...

I placed my order online. When I got there the doors were locked. I arrived early enough to go in. I had to go through the drive through. When I asked why the door was locked I was told because he mopped the floor. There was still an hour left before the doors were supposed to be locked. Part of my order was missing. The staff were very sarcastic and rude.
