If you’re going to be closed during normal business hours, at least put up a sign explaining why. And possibly apologizing to those who wasted a trip.
A very cozy place to sit in and relax. The food was great. Service was exceptional.
Monday is a complete turnaround from the hustle and bustle of Friday. So I took my time and ate everything I wanted. Chicken, spaghetti, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, potato salad and black eyed peas. German chocolate cake for dessert.

Walked in here with my kids and it was completely empty. Should’ve known better from that scene alone. Their food is out behind their counter and there are flies all over the food. Not somewhere I’d want to eat. I pointed it out and the lady just looked at me like it didn’t matter. Needless to say we didn’t eat there. Just gross
Just can't beat the fried chicken and catfish! Friendly owners, servers and cook. You never leave hungry. What's not to like...

Country home style cooking. The food is as simple as it gets. Service is superb. The atmosphere is old country store. They even play solid country gold from the 1980's in the background. It can help some folks remember where they came from. Come relax and eat some fried chicken.

Ok….. soooo…. I was looking for a buffet around here, then I seen a country buffet and I was so excited because they offered fish. The young girl was so kind. I got one plate to begin with because they said I could only get 1 piece of fish. Then a group of yt men came in and a server came out (older yt lady) she NEVER acknowledged me the entire time I was there. So I go up to the buffet and asked for another piece of fish and the young lady said that they were making more. She told me that she would bring it to me and I told her that I wanted mashed potatoes and gravy with it. She said ok. So when the fish was finished she went to the table with the men (who came in AFTER ME) and served them the fish first. When she got to me it was the last piece and she stated that there were no more mashed potatoes left. I told her that I didn’t want it. I was already irritated from all of the flies I had to swat while eating, then I had to see how friendly and waiting hand and foot to the yt men that was there when I never received half of that service. Fast forward… I go to the register and cash out. The older lady told me one price and charged me more than what she said. When I asked her about it she stated “well there is a sign somewhere in here that says there is a charge for using a card…. Is it still there?”
When I tell y’all that I’m soooo disappointed and sickened by this I MEAN IT! I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE. I have been in douglasville for a few years and I have never experienced anything like this. I was trying to give the restaurant a try because I have never heard of them! The customer service sucks and the flies and gnats are ridiculous! I really felt like I was living back in the day. Racism is real. Like I said the young girl gets a pass because she wasn’t rude and she acknowledged me. But those yt men who came in after me were their first priority!!

This place has the best fried catfish that we've ever had! For those that haven't been there before, you stand in a buffet line to get your food then find a seat. They will check to see what you want to drink and bring it to you. Tuesdays and Fridays are the busiest because that is when they serve the catfish. Because it is so popular and good, you usually get it fresh out of the fryer.
They always have mashed potatoes, which are great with the white gravy! They always have fried chicken. They advertise that they won an award for best chicken, but to me it's just so-so. Other veggies and entrees vary from day to day. My husband loves their baked chicken! We usually go specifically for the catfish. It can't be beat!
My daughter and I are headed back home after taking the boys home to Texas and spending a much needed time with my Bestie. My daughter and I stopped for lunch at this little place that was a little piece off of I-20. It was a shock for sure. There is a produce stand outside but an amazing buffet inside. If you are ever near Douglasville, Georgia this is a must. It is buffet but the food is served by someone behind the counter so not just everyone touches your food, which is a huge plus to me. They even fix your drink and you have all you can eat. The place was packed!!! When we started eating even my daughter said, “Mama this taste just like your cooking!! COUNTRY!!” The fried chicken needs no assistance in it flavoring Yes, it’s a little drive off the beaten path but so worth it. The ladies working were absolutely amazing. Today they had fried chicken, baked chicken, neck bones, spaghetti, pinto, Lima, butter, and black eyed beans, green beans, rice, mashed potatoes, cabbage, watermelon, cantaloupe, sliced tomatoes, salad, bread and butter pickles, slaw, salad, biscuit and cornbread. I have no clue if I missed anything but it was GOOD!! Y’all come and try it!!
The best southern country fixing wide variety 👌 the best don't forget the dessert now go take a nap
