It took way entirely too long for us to get our food. The waiter never came back to check on us after just only getting water. We asked another waitress with curly braids, tattoos and nose piercings if she could check our food and she acted like she had an attitude just for us asking if it was okay if she could check and only to not come back to let us know if everything was okay. Her attitude about even asking if things was okay or even to just go get our waiter if it was too much for her to handle was intolerable. This was the most unpleasant experience I’ve had here and I use to regularly come here with no problems. It’s one thing to wait but to not be acknowledged to even say sorry it’s taking a minute just nothing. Nobody said nothing just straight ignored us and the ladies at the table next to us. Several tables got their food before us while we been ordered and they had just gotten seated. This was a highly disappointing experience. We ended up leaving because it just took way too long and the amount of being considerate just to say it’s going to be a minute was not there. Won’t be going back for a while.

The food was pretty good! I had the seafood omelette and enjoyed it! My mom enjoyed her fish and grits as well and we shared the strawberry French toast, which was great. The service leaves MUCH to be desired. The waitress took over 15 minutes to come to the table and only came back once to check on us. No refills, no utensils, no condiments….yikes!

I've had some good food here and I like the atmosphere but as others have mentioned the service was slow and it wasn't busy either time I've been. I would come back if they worked on that. The oxtail grilled cheese was fantastic and the home fries were perfectly cooked.

Stumbling upon this location last minute. Ended up being an excellent choice. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the food...... chiefs kiss!!! I got the salmon croquet meal, everything was seasoned to perfection. I have no complaints, which shocked my husband.

I had a 5:15 PM reservation at Gritz Brunch Bar, but the experience was a complete letdown. I was rushed to order as soon as I sat down because the kitchen was “closing soon,” which was frustrating and unprofessional. The music was so loud it was hard to have a conversation, creating an uncomfortable dining atmosphere. After waiting nearly a hour for my food, it arrived cold, and the chicken was visibly undercooked with red, raw areas. When I expressed concern, the manager insisted they had “checked the temperature” and argued that it was fully cooked — despite clear evidence to the contrary.
Several menu items were unavailable, and the staff made no effort to offer substitutions. When I asked to speak with the manager, she was rude and dismissive. Both she and the waitress were combative rather than apologetic. To make matters worse, they still added a mandatory gratuity to my bill despite the poor service and unsafe food.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Between the loud environment, bad food, lack of professionalism, and unwillingness to take responsibility, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

After being sitting, servicer took our orders which took abt hour and a half for food to arrive pancakes were super crispy on outside and hard and dense on inside the, scrambled eggs or so runny needed more time to cook, grits not so flavorful biscuit and potatoes tasted OK I would not recommend, IHOP is 10 times better!

Gritz Brunch Bar in Douglasville is the perfect vibe that you need in the morning/early afternoon to get your day started!
You are greated warmly at the door the moment you walk in. Nice music playing and a really pleasant atmosphere. Our waitress Jasmine was the best! She was super attentive from the moment we sat down. She gave great food suggestions and conversation.
The food was pretty good. I had the wings and pancakes. My wings were fried to p.e.r.f.e.c.t.i.o.n!!!!! If I have to find a minor criticism, it would be that I was disappointed in my Pancakes. They had a good buttery flavor, but they did not have a good texture. They weren't over cooked...they just had a rough/hard texture which is not how pancakes should be.
But overall I definitely recommend eating at Gritz! The vibe, atmosphere, and food are worth the experience!
