This place is wonderful!! The food was mouth watering and most excellent to taste! The menu items are diverse! The drinks are amazing & the customer service is superb! Our server, Nicole and all who came to check on us made sure we were served well and that our experience was great! Definitely a place that will be one of my favorites, if not favorite, spot to eat!

Gritz in downtown Douglasville serves up tasty brunch options, though the service can be slow. I tried the cinnamon roll pancakes, which were delicious. It's a good idea to book ahead to avoid waiting. Overall, worth a visit for the food.

If I could leave zero stars I would. My experience was terrible. I called the restaurant to place a to go order and was told I had to place the order online. I go online and place the order and was told my order would be ready in 15-20 minutes with a pick up time. I arrive at the restaurant to pick up the order that they told me I had to place online just to still wait OVER AN HOUR and no one knew where my order was , what it was , and acted completely careless to help me resolve the issue. They never prepared my food which caused me to have to wait even longer just COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.

Ordered shrimp and grits and connomin roll pancakes. Came on a Sat Fternoon to order take out which took longer than I think it should but my rating is more based on the food. Shrimp had tails which I just personally hate but there were also only 5 and the flavor was lack luster. The gritz weren't seasoned, only the shrimp and a very light sauce which wasn't enough for the amount of food. I've had better shrimp and grits at several other places in Douglasville alone. One of which being a newish spot HIgh Noon. Wish I had ordered from there smh. Space is nice but I'm good.

We went to ATL for our granddaughter birthday and on the Sunday leaving out my husband had been seeing some hype about this place. And the hype was all that, live DJ , people from all over the world, dancing and good food and vibes! Can’t wait to go back.

Went on a Sunday for Brunch. Want time 35 minutes. Fine we wait. Was called and SEATED. Only be told to GET UP because another party had a reservation. WOW. How embarrassing. Then waited all but 7 minutes.( Which the reservation could have waited) to finally be seated again. Waited about 20 minutes for the waitor to greet. Placed order and waited an hour. Hour 15 for food to be served. Food finally served. My omelet was great, gritz good, biscuit amazing and French toast good as well. My parties salmon croquettes were dry. We placed a to go order that was forgot about and waited another 20-25 for the check. Definitely wasn't Brunch but LINNER (lunch and dinner) by the time we was served and out of there. Service was blah food was good.

Everytime I want to go there I get turned away because you have a small place with music so loud the wait staff LITERALLY can't hear us and I have to shout. We just politely leave and say thank you maybe try again later. I work in music,theater, mechanics, and events.....loud does not equal good or better.

I would really leave a 0/10 if possible. I have been to this location several times after July of 2023, and in my opinion the quality of service has gone down hill while the food is decent and overpriced. The servers have no sense of urgency and I find it so disappointing considering this is the food industry. Our final experience: My husband and I place our order before 2 other tables. I get the fish & grits, French toast, and he gets the salmon egg croissant with potatoes. Eventually my food comes … to which a heavy set waitress asked me while bringing the food to the table “if all the food was for me … oh mama can eat”. Although I understood it to be a joke, it was just distasteful. A couple minutes have passed and now the tables that ordered after us are receiving their food, but my husband still doesn’t have his food. The tall waitress approaches and explains something about his food being skipped so now they’re making it. We wait again, but after around the 15 minute waiting mark and my food sitting on the table, we weren’t looking forward to the meal. The tall waitress comes over again and I tell her I’m unsatisfied with everything because now the food is cold, to which she asks why we didn’t eat … keep in mind there’s no silverware at the table (picture below). She asks what I’m unsatisfied with and I start with the French toast because who wants to eat cold, soggy bread. She takes the French toast from me (and in my mind it’s due to understanding that I no longer want it). After a few more minutes pass, she comes back with my husband’s sandwich, potatoes, ….. and WARMED up French toast? I didn’t even know establishments can take food back from tables and reheat the same plate. All in all, his salmon was slimy and undercooked. Unfortunately, Gritz will not be seeing us or recommended any time soon.
