The jambalaya was amazing , I also ordered the banana fosters (not a fan) wayyyy too much ice cream and literally a few pieces of bananas

I’ve been coming here for years and usually the service AND the food are exceptional. Today, September 19, 2025, I managed to come on a time that was slow for a Friday! There was no wait and I was seated immediately because they were NOT busy. I arrived at 5:15pm and was seating immediately and for 15 minutes I watched numerous staff walk past my table. None of them took my order. None of them asked if I wanted water or anything else to drink. None of them even acknowledged me! For 15 minutes! I ended up walking out at 5:30 and the staff had the nerve to wish me a good night on the way out!
They were not busy, and there was plenty of staff walking around! No reason why my order wasn’t taken!

The food was so good and they give you a LOT for the prices. We had the seafood egg rolls, the Cajun style fried green tomatoes, the catfish dinner and the sausage po boy dinner. The only thing I didn’t like was the red beans and rice. It could’ve used more flavor/seasoning but other than that everything including the service was a 10/10. There was a long line when we got there but we only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated

Today my experience at Gumbeaux’s was amazing! Everyone was very welcoming from the moment we arrived and when we were seated. Our server, Angel, was just as wonderful, she was kind, quick, and attentive, always stopping by at the right times to make sure we had everything we needed. When the food arrived, it was top notch, absolutely delicious and melted in our mouths. We left completely satisfied and will definitely be coming back, as well as recommending this place to others!

Their call in order has much to be desired.I called for some bread pudding, something that is already cooked and the only thing they have to do is cut it. That took 45 minutes to receive it once I got there.Ridiculous!

The Shrimp and Lobster bisque is my go to from the menu and I can't wait to go back for more!
I have been coming to Gumbeauxs for years, but after my most recent experience, I will not be returning. We spent almost $80 on food, and it was made completely wrong. When we brought it to their attention, instead of fixing their mistake, they pointed to a sign saying customers are supposed to check their food before leaving a sign we never even noticed. That’s unacceptable. A restaurant should take accountability when they mess up an order, especially when customers have been loyal for years. The lack of customer service, professionalism, and care for their patrons is disappointing. We walked away feeling disrespected and unheard. Save yourself the money and frustration. Gumbo’s no longer values its customers.
