I was served a beef patty with very little meat in it. To be honest you get more meat from a frozen beef patty at a grocery store then what I just purchased. Unbelievable!! Nothing but coco bread. It’s just sad. I been here plenty of times for just a beef patty and coco bread. This patty was so flimsy mostly crust and bread for almost $8 ??‍♀️

Not the same as before, ox tails taste like roast rice and gravy. No authentic carribean flavor like before. It wasn't bad but not the usual, I guess it depends on who's cooking.

Placed order via Postmates. The order was not sealed @ all. Spoke w manager … no accommodations offered. Do not order via 3rd Party platforms. This restaurant needs better business acumen.

I ordered from Uber Eats didn't give me anything to eat with. For a small order. give me my 5 pieces of a decent size oxtail. I won't order here again.

This was my first visit to Island Spice and I ordered the Red Snapper along with cabbage and peas and rice. I can say everything was great!! The food was seasoned perfectly! I will definitely be returning!!!

I was so excited about eating Jamaican food. The people I was with said that the sauce was too sweet. For me, I love salmon to no end and this food was extremely salty. I wish the best for this restaurant. There aren't many Jamaican restaurants, so I hope they are successful.

I've been on the hunt for some good Jamaican food, and boy, did I find one. Although I had to travel 34 mins to find this amazing place, it was sure worth the 1 hr round trip. I got the large oxtail with peas and rice and steamed cabbage. I also got the Jamaican beef patty, which didn't make the car ride home. The oxtails were cooked to perfection, not tuff, and barley had to do any extra work to get the meat off the bone. The rice and peas were really good and not undercooked or overcooked. The added brown sauce from the oxtail on the rice took it to a whole other level. I will definitely coming back to try more items on the menu!!!!

Ok, now this place is beginning to suck. I tried them again within the last month and no better, I guess that’s my Que, to stop. Food is bland and luke warm and plantains mushy as ever. So I’m like are you guys cooking more and she like no it was 5 o’clock they don’t close till 10. I’m done with this Jamaica restaurant and people. They attitude stinks.

For the most part, this place is cool.. but the stubby darkskin young lady that was in there tonight literally irritates me EVERY single time she’s there. She just has a negative energy and you can tell she doesn’t want to be there.. and not only that, her co-worker came out speaking patois and I could’ve sworn I interpreted her saying “they’re out of brown stew chicken.” But since the lady taking my order didn’t say anything, I left it alone .. Instead of confirming with me they were out of brown stew chicken, the girl brought my food out and said “they didn’t have any brown stew chicken so they gave you jerk chicken.” Then she walked in the back before I could even say anything.

It pissed me off so bad bc if she would’ve confirmed that her co-worker actually said that, I would’ve saved my money and went somewhere else. But instead, she was worried about cleaning up and shutting down.. despite the fact I showed up at 9:20 pm and they don’t close until 10:00 pm. People like her makes a decent business go downhill. Y’all need to find another person to replace her bc she’s going to bring the business down.
