This was my first visit to Island Spice and I ordered the Red Snapper along with cabbage and peas and rice. I can say everything was great!! The food was seasoned perfectly! I will definitely be returning!!!
I was so excited about eating Jamaican food. The people I was with said that the sauce was too sweet. For me, I love salmon to no end and this food was extremely salty. I wish the best for this restaurant. There aren't many Jamaican restaurants, so I hope they are successful.
I've been on the hunt for some good Jamaican food, and boy, did I find one. Although I had to travel 34 mins to find this amazing place, it was sure worth the 1 hr round trip. I got the large oxtail with peas and rice and steamed cabbage. I also got the Jamaican beef patty, which didn't make the car ride home. The oxtails were cooked to perfection, not tuff, and barley had to do any extra work to get the meat off the bone. The rice and peas were really good and not undercooked...
