This place has the best oxtails in America you will never find a better more flavor oxtail any other place. I’ve lived in Jersey/ Cali/ Texas/ North Carolina and I promise nothing is topping this platter 🙌🏾
Stop by Island spice on Lee road for the first time yesterday ordered a large jerk pork and they did not disappoint. The rice was cooked perfectly. The jerk pork was delicious. Portion size was amazing it’s good to find really good authentic flavored island food.
I stopped in for lunch and chose oxtail with coco bread. The oxtail was incredibly tender, with the meat falling right off the bone, but the gravy left much to be desired. It was lacking in flavor and richness. However, the rice and candied yams were excellent. The coco bread was light and delicious. The price was on the higher side; for nearly $30, I expected the gravy to be outstanding. The service was prompt and welcoming, and the restaurant maintained a clean environment.
