Monterrey Mexican Restaurant

This place has some of the worst birria taco in Douglasville!!!
I stopped there today to give them a try and the beef was under cooked and soggy, my plate was soaked in oil and soup. I actually chocked a bit on the beef. Maybe should have order something else because maaaan this was all the way bad. Best thing about this establishment is the generous parking!

Great local restaurant. It's been awesome to watch them grow over the years. We always get great service here, and if you haven't tried their Mangonadas, you have to! They also have their carry away liquor license, so you can order drinks to take home as well!

I’ve never been treated so poorly at a restaurant. It’s sad we couldn’t enjoy our outing. We were polite but our server seemed annoyed just by seeing our faces.

We went for the first time yesterday and it was crazy good. The prices were fair, the food was BANGING, and our waitress with the infinity tattoo of her children’s names 💕was so attentive and kind!

We started eating and THEN I remembered to capture it all (sorry it was just… mmm lol). My pineapple margarita was HUGE so do not get the large if you’re trying to just have a little sip o’ something! Ha!

The queso with the shrimp, steak, and chicken was so good I might go back for done RIGHT NOW just thinking about it! The Mexican guacamole was— mmmm— well made with all the good fixings and after adding some salt my child wouldn’t let us have anymore! 🤣

The portions were very filling! You will absolutely get what (and more than) you pay for!

Oh also, the kids menu was so cute and I truly appreciate the tiny variety for our little picky eaters out there.

All around — this Monterey’s is my new favorite place!

There are two of these restaurants in Douglasville. The one that we go to is on Fairburn Road. We've been coming here for years and the food and the service has always been good.

I absolutely love their fajitas 🤩‼️ very nice customer service! I was treated like a good friend! Love the Mariachi Band they had one night! Totally a delicious experience! If you adore Mexican cuisine this is the place!!!!!!

I’ve been going to Monterrey’s since I was little and the food and service never disappoints. Food is out fast and always delicious. The owner is friendly and always greets and remembers his regulars. Margaritas are strong 😄

Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. Cold beer and delicious food plus great atmosphere.

Don't get the nachos and they charge for using your card and for asking for extra sour cream.

We came after my son's high school graduation, and it was not too full. There were many empty tables. We were a party of about 20. The drins took too long as well as the food. When the food came it was seasoned with too much pepper, not spicy jalapeño pepper but regular pepper. Needless to say, it was not very tasty. The server was polite when he came by but he didn't come by soon enough. This was my first and last time to visit this place. The final checks were paid by two people only not too many separate checks to confuse anyone either.

The food is good but when you pick up the prices change...on menu it says one thing then on door dash its another price if you order over the phone yet another price...if you pay with a credit card they add more fees...I feel as if they are popular but take advantage of the customers with their extra unecessary fees...they are making money why take advantage?????? Thats why I rate them a 3 for being shady with pricing

Man, this is my favorite restaurant. Me and my homie goes there at least every other week. The service is always the best, the food taste so good, and the drinks are wonderful. Keep up the good work from the customer that's on the back deck
