Went in for dinner .. I'd given up on Olive Garden Restaurant for years now. Primary Reason was that they were never clean. Men's Room always dirty and smell bad. Eating areas were always unkept. However; this location was the complete opposite this time. Now I travel a lot as I'm retired from work. So I've been in and eaten in just about 4 or 5 Olive Garden Restaurants between Miami Florida and Washington D C. This location got it right. They served very well prepared food and hot, not warm. The drinks were well made and the ice tea was great. Our server was da'bomb!!!! Ok so look, pass your secret to the other locations between Florida and Washington D C, and there's nothing to worry about except will your dinning room hold the people.... I will get back to you really soon and very VERY soon....

My soup was not right. The vegetables were raw in some places. It did not have much chicken in it. My fettuccine Alfredo came out with noodles that were overcooked. The booth was incredibly small. I’m mid size and struggled to eat comfortably. I did notice that not all booths were like that. I’ve never seen an Olive Garden with such a weird atmosphere. It seemed as though it used to be a bar.. This OG needs a lot of love and help.

This Olive Garden is a go-to spot when I’m craving comfort food and a relaxing sit-down meal. The breadsticks and salad are always fresh and unlimited, which is a huge plus. I’ve enjoyed several dishes here — especially the Chicken Alfredo and Tour of Italy — and they’re consistently flavorful and filling.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, great for both casual dinners and special occasions. The staff is usually friendly and attentive, and service tends to be pretty quick, even when it’s busy.

On the downside, there can be a bit of a wait during peak dinner hours, especially on weekends. The pricing is fair for what you get, but it can add up quickly if you’re dining with a group. Also, some dishes can be a little heavy or salty depending on the cook that day.

Overall, it’s a solid choice for Italian food in Douglasville with generous portions and a cozy dining experience.

Mixed Experience at Olive Garden – Grateful for the Manager’s Support, but Disappointed in Initial Service

After a lovely Sunday service, I took my daughters to Olive Garden to enjoy one of our favorite traditions—soup, salad, and pasta. We were excited to be there, and the atmosphere, as always, was warm and inviting. However, our experience started off less than ideal due to our server’s lack of attentiveness.

We waited over 10 minutes before our waitress, Jordan, even acknowledged us—despite a couple being seated at the table directly across from us after we arrived. Oddly enough, Jordan took their drink order and brought them bread before bringing the bread we had already requested. My oldest daughter noticed this, and although I initially brushed it off, the pattern continued.

When the salad arrived, I mentioned to Jordan that the table next to us had been served bread first. Her response was that her co-worker brought it—yet no one else had been at that table. Still trying to remain gracious, I asked for cheese for my salad, to which she agreed. But once again, instead of coming directly to our table, she went to the same table next to us and served them cheese first, even though we had asked for it before them.

At that point, I calmly spoke up—not to cause a scene, but because I had my daughters with me, and I didn’t want them to feel overlooked or disrespected during a meal we were looking forward to. I also wanted to ensure the rest of our visit didn’t continue on a negative note. Jordan then went to get the manager, Sarah.

Let me pause here to express my gratitude to Sarah. She was professional, kind, and sincerely apologetic. Once I explained what had happened, she took over our table immediately and personally ensured that our experience ended on a much more positive note. She checked on us regularly, made sure we had everything we needed, and turned the situation around with compassion and grace. I truly appreciated that.

What disappointed me most, though, was that Jordan never returned—not even to offer an apology or to simply acknowledge the misunderstanding. Whether intentional or not, the lack of courtesy and follow-through left a lasting impression. A sincere apology, even for an oversight, goes a long way.

In the end, our evening was salvaged by a manager who clearly understands the importance of customer service. I’m thankful for that. But I do hope that Olive Garden continues to train and guide its staff to be mindful of how small actions—especially when witnessed by children—can make guests feel either welcomed or dismissed.

Ms. Knatalya's hospitality and services was extraordinarily spectacular and her recommendations were flawless. Could not ask for better service. Wish we could rate rate her a 14/10 but that option is not available

Instrestingly, I ordered 2 advertisers and an entree with salad for the waitress to return and say out of 1 advertiser and out of the entree. Instead of me leaving, I replied ok I take the advertiser olive garden has with the salad. The waitress did not say 'because olive garden don't have the entree, I'm taking back the salad and bread'. (No I didn't request bread, and I understand it's her job to just to be a waitress.) What happened to customer service 🤔? She responded upset when I asked why was I billed for a salad if it comes with the entree I ordered. I didn't know olive garden was out of food. Logically thinking with common sense, it's the waitress job to inform the customer of the service the waitress is representing. I'm a big tipper and for the first time, I tipped the minimum.

It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at Olive Garden… it’s not really vegan friendly… minestrone soup 🍲 and salad 🥗 made it work…. My friend had a pasta dish and of course unlimited bread 🥖… our server was awesome, friendly, efficient, effective… if you are an Olive Garden fan you will like this location.

Not sure what went wrong this visit, but the quality of the food has gone down hill. We ordered delivery and the drinks were left off and the food did not taste good at all. I was shocked because Douglasville has one of the best Olive Garden restaurants around!
