Our server, Kim, was so sweet and welcoming! We had the best experience with a gorgeous water view and delicious food over a candlelight dinner.

Great view of pool & lake ... quiet and natural setting. Brunch menu was good and service was wonderful. Perfect brunch venue after church on Sunday. House Reps and Senator enjoyed our time together.
Went to Pheasant Blue for Sunday Brunch. Charged us $35 per person for basic fare served in steamed containers. Bulk scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, etc. There also was sliced ham and roast beef in another steamer tray. A few muffins, cupcakes and cookies rounded out the brunch offering. The meal was similar to a run-of-the-mill chain hotel buffet. Servers brought us water, tea, and coffee. The servers dragged chairs on the outside patio, making a racquet every time they setup the tables for different sized groups. What should have been a $20 brunch buffet was almost double, and then they charged us 20% service gratuity for basically getting four water glasses. Pheasant Blue offers mediocre, overpriced food with a large service fee.

Spent Mother's Day brunch with my daughters at Pheasant Blue and had a great time. The food and service were very good. No crowds - and having the reservation took us right out to the patio as soon as we arrived. Will definitely make plans to go again!
We enjoy Pheasant Blue for the beautiful setting, great food and friendly service. Our waiter was very attentive. The table we chose last night was outdoors near the pool and had a stunning view. Highly recommend for casual dining or even large groups. Not much traffic to contend with either! A real hidden gem.

The restaurant was CLOSED when we showed up for our reservation. This was very embarrassing. Why is OpenTable accepting reservations for a restaurant that is closed? An absolute zero rating this was!
The restaurant closed down and cancelled our reservation for Easter brunch. We were from out of town, had the reservation for over a month- it left us scrambling for a reservation on a very busy day of the year.
First time ever having Thanksgiving dinner outside of our home. I think we may have started a new tradition based off our experience at Fox Hall. The food was absolutely delicious and the service impeccable. The resort itself is gorgeous and made the perfect backdrop for our family Thanksgiving! We will be going back to the Blue Pheasant restaurant for many more meals. Thank you.
The pictures on the website of the food made us truly want to eat at the Pheasant Blue. From the pictures show and what we received was different. We ate brunch on Saturday morning at about 8:15. Being served and the food options was somewhat lacking. I will load a picture of the brunch menu and was very surprised at the few items they had to offer and for it to be called a brunch. We had the egg whites, turkey bacon, avocados, and something else that slips my mine. The food took about 20 minutes and was so so like the service. I would recommend to them a better offering. We then said maybe they were off with the brunch and breakfast we wanted.. well we arrived at our reservation time and there appeared to be no one working. So we picked the limited menu up again and sat ourselves. We waited about 10 to 15 minutes and someone finally showed up. Again the menu was limited and we stayed safe and order the Cobb salad and it was very good. Just not we thought we would be eating… also note that a 20% gratuity is added automatically to the bill. And it was not worth that. Just note so you don’t over tip. The restaurant and the decor were a bit lacking from what we expected. Overall not impressed with the service or the food and food choices!
Appetizers: we liked the meatballs (could use one more slice of bread for four meat balls), the spinach artichoke dip and olive tapenade (in that order).Solid choices are the steak (NY Strip) is decent (two of the three we got was under cooked for medium rare... while the other was just right... maybe use a thermometer?). Shrimp tacos are tasty but don't expect jumbo shrimp... I'd still order it. Salmon is not farmed and a solid choice as well.Apparently at lunch the chicken pot pie is the impressive bit maybe one in our group had an outlier of the batch (one was sour) but expect it to be "soupy".On another visit the lamb chops were really good. We had the duck breast and the pork chops. Both were the best entrées we had during our stay.Good food with great service. We were here as a group of nine. The place is part of the Foxhall Resort and has a clean, southern slightly upscale, with southern hospitality. If you're staying at the resort you likely have a kitchenette at the minimum so you have options per se however this restaurants is a solid option if you don't want to drive into town. We had all our lunch and dinner meals here, we didn't mind, and we will be back.

Eat here often. Latley this chef has overcooked my steak, Our last visit he burnt our burgers. Food is a tad on the pricy side for mistakes.
We stayed here over the Labor Day weekend in a 2-bedroom lake view villa. Pros: The scenery is beautiful. The place was not crowded at all. The villa was super clean. We appreciated having a stove, as some villas don't have one (make sure to call and ask if you plan to cook). We did some fishing in Lunker Lake, which is literally in the backyard - caught 19 fish (catch & release) and saw many turtles. The website doesn't say it, but the villas are two stories. The villas look more like townhomes. You could hear people walking up and down the stairs next door, but we didn't hear anyone talking. The second floor has a thermostat, which we REALLY appreciated since it was so hot and humid outside. Internet and TV worked without issues. Since the resort is close to the airport, you do hear/see airplanes fly over frequently when you are outside, but you can't hear them when you are indoors though. The appliances and fixtures are modern as is the decor. Cons: - Bathrooms are super small - Wished that the bedrooms had a king-size bed, at least one of them. - We wanted to use the oven in the kitchen but there were no baking sheets to be found - Some of the pots/pans in the kitchen were very dirty - In our villa (#105) there was no hot water in the kitchen, we didn't call maintenance because were only there for two days. At one point the downstairs bathroom didn't have hot water either. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!!!
Really wanted to give Foxhall a 5 rating. However, negotiating the contract was a complete & utter disaster. Once on property, it was amazing! There was nothing that the staff did not do to make our stay absolutely memorable and amazing. Brad, Lori, Amanda & Nikki at the front desk could not have been more accommodating! The servicers were also great and the banquet manager, I believe his name was Kevin. The GM, Heather, is also very good at what she does! A big shout out to the special people at Foxhall that made our reunion the best we have ever had! I highly recommend the property, it is breathtaking!
