First, my family and I are very grateful this establishment was open on Christmas Day 2024. Therefore, we did Christmas Day brunch. The food is Great! There was a total of three of us and everyone thoroughly their meal. Even my mom who is retired culinary instructor. She complimented her food and experience several times during our time there; which does not happen often, lol. Thank you to our server Malique who was very pleasant and funny too. I recommend this establishment and I will dine here again.

After work on a Friday evening was my first time dining at Red Velvet Bistro. I didn’t even realize that they closed at 6pm. The staff was amazing and didn’t rush us out. I definitely will come back for the Salmon Philly and Oxtail & Grits both were delicious!! Additionally, my drinks were on point! I highly recommend dropping in for a bit, sip, or a vibe!!

This place is absolutely amazing with an exceptional atmosphere right in the heart of town. We came across this place googling restaurants near me and decided to give it a try. As an professional expert in travel, tourism, and hospitality in the States of TN, and MS this place you must visit. Kind friendly people with good portions of foods, reasonably priced. Thank you Red Velvet!! P. Walker Travel Tours INC. We are coming back soon.

It was my 1st time trying, and I really wanted to love it. I had the French Toast with Peaches and Fried Chicken Wings. The flavor of the chicken wings was delicious, however, the chicken wings were not fully cooked. The waitress was really sweet and brought us out some more wings, but unfortunately, they were also undercooked. We informed her, and they did reduce our bill (which was nice). Overall, the atmosphere was nice, the staff was friendly and the flavor of the wings was top tier. I would definitely go back and next time I'll just ask them to make sure my wings are "Fried hard".

We went to The red velvet bistro on a Sunday after church and the place wasn’t really packed, which I did like and the spacing of the tables were gray as usually brunch places spacing is really tight. we ordered the waffles and lobster waffles and chicken and the baked potato. All the food was great and the service was great as well. We all got the strawberry lemonade, which was really really good definitely recommend and our appetizers worthy southwest rolls and the salmon bites. Salmon bites were crunchy which I liked in the south west eggrolls were really really good. Definitely recommend for an appetizer. Overall experience was 10 out of 10. They do add a 20% gratuity to all checks which I was not aware of which is becoming the norm now I guess other than that everything was great.

Overall, 5 stars!!! Stopped her for lunch on a Monday and was not disappointed. The service was friendly, fast, and professional. Coffee was our waitress, and she had such a beautiful personality. The food came out quick it was not a disappointment. I wasn't a fan of the grits they were on the watery side, but that was just for me because everyone else enjoyed them. The drinks were perfect!!! The atmosphere was cute, small , clean, and neat. If you are in Douglasville, don't hesitate to go.

Have you ever walked into a place and immediately felt unwelcome? Unfortunately, that was our first impression here. Our server, who was also the bartender, made it clear she wasn’t interested in serving a table. Despite there being only two bar guests and a few tables occupied, we waited an unreasonably long time for our drinks—our appetizer even arrived before the sweet teas. The manager managed to check on us three times before we received our drinks.

The food was underwhelming. The appetizer was average, nothing you couldn’t get at a chain restaurant like Applebee's. My husband ordered the lobster and strawberry waffles. The lobster was served shell-on, the waffle was undercooked, and the presentation was lackluster—a messy swirl of overly sweet strawberry icing. For over $30, we expected far better quality and care. I tried the lamb chop for the first time and was left unimpressed, doubting I’d order it again anywhere.

Service continued to disappoint. With 2-3 servers, a bartender, a food runner, and only a few tables occupied, it was frustrating to have to flag someone down just to get a refill. The overall experience gave off a vibe that we simply weren’t welcome.

To top it off, the bill came to over $100 which seemed higher than expected. We were surprised to find a 20% gratuity automatically added for our small party. If this is standard practice, it would have been more professional to inform us upfront, especially as first-time visitors.

We cannot recommend this restaurant. Between the poor service, mediocre food, and lack of transparency, it’s not worth your time or money.

There was no seasoning on the tables and I understand why... Didn't need any. Well prepared.

They moved to a smaller location not far from their old location, if you have a big party, it's like your in a closet. Like Craig House on "Friday" if there is something you want on the menu they out of it or just don't offer it no more. Foods taste like You got it from Applebee's but they charge as if it taste like Michellin ⭐, this is far from the case. Nicely decorated with the red velvet theme. Your paying for the decor when you eat here. If you read this, talking to the owners, you should have focused on you menu and quality of food instead of the decor. I cannot recommend. An appetizer salmon bites, no flavor, a cheese burger fries and soda for a kid, strawberry lemonade and Honey glazed salmon (bland and to sweet, how?), should not have cost me $75. We was literally the only ok patrons in the place and service was slow and blah, how the heck do you have the nerve to auto add 15% gratuity?

Kid-friendliness: No print kids menu. So not kid friendly. Kids are clearly not who the owners thought would eat here. Decor tells me they wanted this to have a lounge feel not a restaurant.
