Our favorite sushi restaurant. The staff is always friendly and asks about our family. The food is amazing. Hard to believe you can get sushi this good in Douglasville!

I had been going to Sakura for years when I first moved to this area. I mean we were regulars. After Covid, not so much since the dining area was shut down. Last time I had sushi it was not great. Lobster in the lobster tempura was hard pieces with barely any actual lobster! Today I wanted something quick and light since it’s so hot. I got hibachi since I wasn’t impressed with the sushi last time. Bad choice. Rarely do I say anything is nasty because I know hibachi here may taste differ than hibachi there, but both can be good. It was nasty. Lobster overcooked (maybe old) scallops undercooked, and shrimp undercooked. I don’t know what’s happening because this spot used to be good! Today was the last time they’ll get my money.

I always love coming here for the sushi rolls. I recommend the double rainbow roll if you like a bit of everything! The people here are very nice. Will be coming back.

So I have lived in douglasville for over 10 years. One of the only sushi places I order from is sakura. Well since covid I think they have gone downhill. They don't do dine in anymore which is what we usually do. We come here less and less because of this. This past order I got was a joke. I almost always get the soup and it's amazing and in a large container. Well today I ordered $50 worth of sushi and 2 soups. Look at the size of these soups they gave me!! It cost $6 for some broth. I told the manager that I have never seen such a small amount. she said I had to take it up with the online service I ordered through. Well I thought I was ordering from the restaurant so that was annoying. I had to call someone else to fix my order while I was in the restaurant and they clearly messed up not the 3rd party taking my money. The manager never offered to make it right just kept saying I had to deal with some other company. The sushi is actually decent but you don't get enough for what you pay. There are way more places that are just as good and charge less or give you more. I really didn't want to do a bad review because I loved this place but either they have new management or just being cheap after covid. Either way it's just not that great anymore 😕 You can go to so many other hibachi and sushi places that actually have dine in and customer service. I gave this place another chance today and it was worse than the last time I ordered. I got the Cali roll eel roll and dragon roll. The Cali roll was fine but there was no eel or eel sauce on the eel roll. The dragon roll was like a Cali roll with shrimp. It was just pathetic and this is the final time I will ever order from here.

Ordered dinner from this place Saturday night. My husband and I are now both suffering from the worst case of food poisoning I’ve ever had…vomiting diarrhea dizzy spells you name it. We had salads while the kids did not so I’m assuming they gave us tainted salads. I’m extremely disappointed and angry. Will be reporting this to the health department

Looking for something out of our norm on the 4th of July, we ended up here. Customer service was great & the lady who took our order was very friendly. The place was clean, and the food was delicious. We don't eat out much, but we will definitely be adding Sakura into the rotation.
