Food tastes good but the service was terrible. The servers have no emotion and the food portions were small. Didn't check on me after receiving food. They barely gave me any steak and I had to wait around 15 minutes just for them to tell me they cant do anything about it so then my food was cold. Still left a tip because I have compassion, but im never coming back again... I used to love this restaurant too.

Food is good when certain chefs cook it. Portions are different everything. Some over season the food making it salty, others make it bland. It's different every time.

Since the opening of this establishment, our family has enjoyed visiting for family dinner and dinner parties over the years. We spend an average of $550 each visit as we have a large family. However, tonight, is where we draw the line and will no longer patronage this place. If you’re a person of principle, I advise you to do the same.

Tonight I called at 8:36 pm and asked what’s the last time that we can be seated and was told 9pm. I then asked what’s the last time that we can be seated to dine in and was told 9:30. I called again at 8:58 pm when I realized that we wouldn’t make it in time for 9pm, but wanted to make sure that if we arrived before 9:30, at 9:20 to be exact, we’d be able to be seated. The same lady who I spoke to earlier at 8:36 pm, told me “yes”.

When we arrived to the restaurant, two of the workers who were standing outside, went inside and hurried up and locked the doors. We gently knocked on the door and they let us in. The lady at the front said “we are closed”. I told her “I just called and was told that you seat your last customer at 930pm”. The girl who gave me this information was standing there and confirmed that she thought she was giving me correct information. The lady said “the last time to be seated is 9:15”. Keep in mind it was barely 9:20pm. So let me get this straight….. we were turned away without any consideration for our drive from another county with confirmed misinformation from their employee? Poorest customer service ever because If I couldn’t accommodate a customer, but knowing they were mislead to come out to our establishment, I would first of all apologize and secondly, offer them to come back at a later date even if it’s for 10% discount. Do better Sapporo!!!

Great spot! Server was friendly, & attentive.
Food came out quick, & was delicious! I ordered the stir fry with chicken, steak, & shrimp. Great portions size as well! Also included a small salad & soup. It was so good! Highly recommend.

Wasnt as exciting an a lot of Hibatchi places. There wasn't any appetizers either like they normally do. The rice was just rice with a little egg in it. The food was good but wasn't what we expected.

I was very disappointed with my dine-in experience at Sapporo Japanese Restaurant. From the moment we were seated, the kitchen doors were repeatedly left open, allowing cold air from a 30-degree night to pour into the dining area. Along with the cold, cigarette smoke odors came through, which made the entire meal uncomfortable—especially with a newborn present.

To make matters worse, our server counted our newborn baby as a person in order to apply the automatic gratuity for a six-person table. When I questioned this with the manager, I was told that a newborn does indeed count as a person, despite the fact that the baby obviously did not eat or receive service.

What was most frustrating was the lack of attentiveness from our server throughout the meal. It felt as though the automatic gratuity removed any incentive to provide quality service, as our server frequently disappeared and was inattentive for most of the experience.

Overall, this visit was extremely disappointing, and I expected much better customer service and professionalism.

Went there a week or so ago and had a great time!Food was delicious 😋though my mother did say that the tuna did taste pureed.The staff was so nice and they had a little robot that as it goes around serving it played christmas songs and it was so adorable 🥺.Anyway all together best dining experience I've had in a while!

I wish that I could give this restaurant a 20!!! My family visited this restaurant yesterday on 12/21/25 to celebrate my sister with special needs birthday. The amount of compassion and kindness that was shown to not only her, but my daughter with cerebral palsy was AMAZING!!! The staff really paid extra attention to her and made her feel special!!! Even a chef who was cooking for another table stopped and acknowledged my sister and had everyone at his table sing happy birthday to her! My husband and I dine here often, but after yesterday

Placed an order for pickup. 2 chicken hibachi meals, fried rice and fried california roll...$57.00. Got home eager to eat and the food is bland..nothing but a little pepper on it. I ate half of it because I was hungry but this bland food is ridiculous. I eat here all the time and it's never been this bland. They have a chef there that seasons his food well and some of the others don't.

This is an AMAZING and I repeat AMAZING restaurant. Awesome staff. Immaculate sushi and hibachi. The restaurant is clean, so clean. Everyone is so so so so kind and friendly. I would come here for every special even if given the option! Jordan and Andy were so spectacular! Truly a wonderful end to my daughter’s birthday! Thank you!
