Smokin' Cherry's BBQ

The atmosphere is pretty chill, a place for a quick bite. Our waiter was a young man (forgot his name) he was very nice and was on top of things. The food was good we ordered chicken tenders and fries, catfish with fries and collard greens, and a rib basket with Mac and cheese. Everything was good and flavorful. The reason I’m giving 3 stars is because the Mac and cheese, once I got to the bottom had all this oil. Very flavorful but the oil was a bit much. Also some of our food wasn’t hot. As long as we waited I was expecting all the food to be hot. Overall I may give another try.

The restaurant was very clean and food was absolutely delicious!!!!! The Ox tails were fabulous. It’s very hard to give this place a 3 with food this good. However, the service is terrible!! We had to ask for every refill on drinks multiple times before we actually got them. Every table had messed up orders. Some people were leaving before the food came out because they were forgotten about. I could not imagine the disaster it would be if they were busy. There were about 6-7 tables with customers, so not busy at all. Prices are high but you get a lot of food for the money, but not many cheaper options to choose from.

I feel so bad for this business. I rarely give reviews but this place...oh my.... My boyfriend and I decided to give it shot and honestly it's not worth it. The server was really nice but barely checked in on us. Didn't get refills, my boyfriend's rib platter was cold, the mac and cheese was not fresh. The fries were okay but not great. They butchered his ribs with a butter knife. I would save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. It had great potential of being a great place but they need more guidance on doing so.

My rating would be a 3.5 if we could do a half of a star. My wife and went and although friendly, our waters were not refilled. I had to share my water with my wife. I got the rib basket with 1 side. 2 ribs had barely any meat on them and the other had a lot of fat. The mac and cheese was by far the best part of my meal. Unfortunately, the prices are so high in my opinion and they don't have majority of a bbq restaurant food. The catfish my wife got was pretty good.

The atmosphere and the staff was very welcoming and pleasant. My oxtail bowl was full of deliciousness! Thank you a great experience I will definitely be back.

Holy Smokes ! ? (no pun intended ?) This place is delicious! We ordered 2 Cherry Bomb meals yesterday (To-Go) . Huge portions and the food has so much flavor. Our food was ready as promised and the staff was efficient and friendly! With consistency in food/service this place can’t do anything, but thrive here ! Welcome to Douglasville ?

Baby these ribs with this smoking cherry sauce on them is banging.. Mac and cheese is sooo cheesy ..Best ribs I have had in awhile .. Drove 4hrs from Winnsboro to get them .. We were greeted with a smile and warm welcoming.. We shall return.. Oh and I would love to get some sauce for home .. That sauce should be in every store..

The restaurant is very spacious and clean. It makes you feel safe in this covid Era. The food was very reminiscent of grandma's Sunday dinner. . The serving size for the pans and bowls are enormous Ichoosethe take-outoption. Two people could possibly share a bowl if necessary. Will be back to try the dine-in service. This is the second time we have ordered take-out from Smokin Cherry’s. I hesitated to leave a review after the first trip in the event our experience was a one-off situation. Well, I feel very comfortable saying after two visits in that this place is absolutely delicious. This foods takes me back to my grandmother’s southern style cooking. We have been fortunate enough to catch the oxtail cornbread bowl both times we visited, and today the hubby tried the catfish and dressing. We have ordered numerous side dishes as well, and everything we have tried from this place was fantastic. The portions are also much more generous than most other places. We will be visiting regularly.

This place SUCKED. We waited for about 10 minutes for a table as we kept getting looked at and ignored. When we were finally seated, no one came. Not a single server. When we did finally get one, her service was horrible. She gave us our drinks and one straw. When we asked for another straw, she said yes and then walked away. Mind you she had straws IN HER APRON. We had to wave her down and ask her again for a straw. Then the wait to order began. We watched as she went to every table around us, smiling and laughing with a group of people nearby. Eventually we ordered, and man the food was NOT worth the wait. Bland ribs, boring mac and cheese and store bought potato salad. Yuck. Really wanted to try the banana pudding but after waiting another 20 minutes for the server to come back, I was ready to go. Got our check and got the heck out. 39 dollars later and I'm disappointed. I wouldn't try this if I were you.

Food is great, from a previous visit, but the service sucks. I was there for the second time and ordered at 3:30, someone came at 3:45, someone came at 3:50. They both got their orders and left, and I was still waiting. No one checked on me or my order until I cancelled at 4:15 and requested my refund. My order was ready but those kids need customer service and etiquette training. Simply terrible.

Simply delicious, I tried the fall of the bone ribs, chicken, dressing, green beans, fish key lime cake, red velvet cake, peach pie. I know it seems like a lot for my first visit. However, hands down I’ll be back soon. Thanks Paulette Creative Travel LLC for a trip that was professional all around. Can’t wait to do it again soon.

Ordered a Family Meal and sides they give you are a hefty portion for one person she said a regular combo gets 8oz and a Family Meal gets 12 oz how does that add up and the Manager which is Auntie was very rude never again I like to support black businesses but I’m good on this location. Never again.

One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten ate. The Cherry Lemonade is simply addictive. The ribs are so delicious and tender. Pork chops were thick and juicy with excellent flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy was hands down the best I have ever eaten at a restaurant. The broccoli casserole was absolutely sinful with cheese and breadcrumbs!! I think it was my favorite!! The Mac and cheese was smoky and very cheesy and seasoned wonderfully. The cole slaw was diced up small, just not sweet and I prefer mine sweet, but it was very good. The staff were extremely friendly and truly make you feel welcome and like family. The peach cobbler is amazing as well. I will definitely be going more!! The portion sizes are the best. I was able to eat mine the next night as well. Reheats great!!

Service was excellent! My only complaint was the potato salad.. It tasted like the kind you get at Walmart deli, not bad but not homemade. Over all I'd say the food was good. We were mostly disappointed that despite having Banana pudding, peach cobbler, sweet potato pie, and Brownies listed under "homemade desserts" on the menu, only peach cobbler was available.
