Went in on good Friday, last minute, and the food and service were awesome! Definitely going back.
Wonderful little spot to pick up some great carribbean food.
The food is so delicious! Great customer service also.
Great food with friendly service!
I am so glad I found this restaurant! As a person with a chronic inflammatory illness, its hard to find good places to eat that wont make me flare up. American food makes me physically sick. I normally flare up whenever there are additives, canned, or unhealthy ingredients in general. I have ordered from St Bess 3 times so far and every time I feel great! No flares which is rare for me. I am so glad to have found a place that truly serves fresh clean food and can give me a break from cooking every now and then đ.
In the picture I ordered the jerk chicken meal and stewed chicken (in the back). Both delicious!!
Official authentic Jamaican cuisine done right every time!
Everything was absolutely delicious! My family of 6 ordered take out. Every dish was excellent!
Great food
Omg FIRE đ„ đ this food was so good i became a loyal customer
Service was amazing. Food was properly cooked and fresh. I really wanted to like it, but everything was lacking a level of flavor that Iâm use to getting when eating Jamaican food. Mac& cheese was very cheesy, but a little on the bland side. Cabbage, rice& peas, as well as the brown stew chicken just all lacked âthatâ flavor. Food wasnât bad, but it wasnât great either in my personal opinion. However, overall it is still a place Iâd highly recommend others to try for themselves because everyoneâs taste is different.

Restaurantji Recommends
I would like to say I wasnât impressed by the prices or the flavors as a person of Caribbean descent the food was severely lacking. The rice was undercooked the oxtails were dry and lacked flavor cabbage was ok but itâs hard to mess up cabbage, then plantains were not even included in an almost $40 dollar oxtail plate. I would not recommend this place sorry not sorry

I've had food here several times. The food is usually always good. My last visit fell a little short, but I'll still return.

First time checking this place out. The 5 star reviews are correct! I got the jerk chicken combo, with red beans and rice with ox tail gravy and plantains . I could of just eaten the red beans rice and ox tail gravy!!! But everything was perfect! Will definitely be a returning customer!!

I was here from Milwaukee visiting Douglasville ask where is some good Jamaican food in the area I was told St.Bess Jamaican food was very good I went there and it was the worse
tasting food I ever had in my life no Flavor rice was very dry. Cabbage didnât have no seasoning at all. The food was horrible. My friend got the oxtails for $31. They got four little pieces of oxtails
The meat was very tough with no flavor the rice was dry no flavor cabbage didnât have any flavor They need to come to Milwaukee and taste the upper yard or pepper pot Jamaican food because this shit here is bull shit

This is the only Jamaican food I eat in Douglasville. Jerk chicken, rice and peas with ox-tail gravy, and cabbage. The sorrel is wonderful too although it's so sweet and potent one little bottle is enough for a family of four! ?
Love this place!
