Been here twice when coming to Douglasville. Most recently was today with 5 other people. Everyone got something different and loved their dishes. These included the brisket bowl, the coconut curry, the chicken and waffle and the zinger bowl.Staff is very welcoming and helpful. If I lived near town I'd come here more often. There's off street parking and the Downtown Douglasville Parking Deck a block or two away.

I reserved for an event that I hosted and I was extremely pleased. the owner and staff were very accommodating and helpful. The food was excellent. As a vegetarian I appreciated having options. I will definitely be returning.

It is small business, it is good option for a vegetarian. But you need to be patience with the services, they need to put attention in this part. And removed the items they don't have in the moment you place the order, and not in the last minute when they serve your dish with not asking if it ok the substitutions. For example, I place the order for a veggie burger with sweet potatoes fries. And I got french fries potatoes!Vegetarian options: Very nice seasoning in vegetarian options.

This place was amazing! The food was fresh and very tasty. I usually don't eat all on my plate but I did this day and ordered a turkey burger to go! What I also like about this place is they have display of items for sale for entrepreneurs to sell their items. I brought a few items just to support. I the atmosphere is warm and makes you just want to stay all day! This has officially become one of my favorite place to dine! I gave them a 5 STAR but google only posted a 4.5 star not sure why!

Always good. Been going here for years. Love their fried chicken seasoning. Great ambiance. Great that they have some alternative meat options. Service is wonderful. I support this small Black owned business!

We loved everything about this place. Great variety on the menu, and lots of healthy options and comfort food. We ended up getting the coconut curry bowl and the Cajun bowl and both were delicious. The service was outstanding!

I really wanted to like this place as it sounded great. The food was very disappointing and served in flimsy containers with flimsy flatware. And the price was not cheap. I would eat at Panera Bread any old day of the week before I would go back here.

We are new to the Douglasville area and happened upon this hidden gem! The food was amazing and topped only by the excellent customer service! Shout out to Antonio for recommending the Curry chicken bowl and honey Siracha wings We also got the brisket bowl which was delicious! We will definitely be dining again.

My husband and I decided to eat at The Vine on a beautiful Friday afternoon. It was our first time here. We like supporting small businesses, especially those that are black-owned. We found street parking a few steps away. Once we entered the restaurant, a couple welcomed us from a table where they were having lunch themselves. We assumed it was the owners, but can't say for certain. Nevertheless, we "felt" seen. We walked up to the counter where we placed our order for brisket pizza and bowls. We had studied the menu and reviews beforehand. The warm-spirited cashier/server shared that they were out of brisket. She didn't make any recommendations nor share the Friday special. Well, there went our study skills. We stepped back and studied the menu again. We finally ordered the chipotle chicken pizza and the turkey burger combo with hand-cut fries and a drink. We then found seating on the small covered patio outside, which is always our preference because I'm immunocompromised. Many of the tables inside were filled. Soon after sitting down, the cashier/server brought our drinks to the table. I asked her for a black tablecloth like the ones on the tables inside. She immediately returned to cover our table. She is a very sweet girl that is very customer-oriented. A few minutes later, my turkey burger and fries came out. The burger was delicious! It was the best I've had out in a long time. I gave my husband a third as he waited for his pizza. Ya'll, it was so good that I didn't really want to share my burger that day but he could freely have as many fries as he wanted. LOL! About 5-10 minutes later, Brina (Marie) came out to introduce herself as our cook and apologize for the wait. We appreciated her for doing this. I was done eating by the time his pizza arrived. The pizza was hot and looked like it was ready for a magazine shoot. My husband said it was worth the wait. He couldn't eat it all because he had filled up on my plate. Brina apologized again and refilled our drinks. Kudos to Brina for having mad cooking skills! She also asked if we wanted anything else. Well after watching our neighbors (through the window) rave about the pound cake, I knew exactly what I wanted. One taste and it was another home run. This homemade cake was perfectly cooked and tasted like my Madea's. We will be back very soon. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the environment. Trust me, you must try The Vine.

Underwhelming. Tough stringy brisket. Came here because of the yelp rating. I was disappointed. Ordered at the counter, was told 15min. Ok. Food arrives and I'm politely informed that they will bring flatware when they return. The additional wait isn't bad, but the optics...just bring the flatware first then the food. The wait wasn't the issue. I wanted to support a local business for lunch rather than a fast food place, but at $18 with tip the food was only OK.

Great little cafe to find in Downtown Douglasville area. It is worth the trip to sit down and enjoy fresh locally sourced food. Everything is made when you order and it tastes great. I ordered a chicken sandwich for my dad and I had the fried chicken. (to-go) The sandwich was grilled and I asked for no cheese but it was added that said my Dad enjoyed his sandwich. I also got fried which were of course hand cut. The patron there when I arrived had brisket and the other the curry and both said their meals were very tasty. I enjoyed the flavor of the fried chicken which was on skewers (not per the menu). Again good tasting. The cafe ambiance is quaint with touches of community, peace, healing, and health in an eclectic Black Southern manner. Like a little shop where you can get a great meal. If I still lives in GA I would go again. Heck I may go the next time I'm i. town visiting!

My hubby and I went to this establishment because it came up as a VEGAN restaurant on Google, but it is NOT a vegan restaurant. They have vegan options, but the majority of their menu contains meat or animal products. We both got the Impossible burger combo with vegan cheese. They were very good, just way too much salt on my fries for my liking. The atmosphere is nice, restaurant very clean, employees very friendly. I gave them a 3-star rating for misrepresentation online as a VEGAN restaurant and the wait time for our food (over 30 minutes for 2 burgers and fries and there were only 6 other customers there total, who had already ordered ahead of us and had their food already). I had to actually go up to the counter and ask why it was taking so long for our food. The young man that was working the register was in the kitchen talking with the staff, but our food was sitting out on the counter already, which I brought to his attention. Usually, they bring the food to your table for you, but I carried our plates to our table, because he handed them to me at the counter. No biggy. We were just glad to finally have our food. Even though this establishment is nice, it would be MUCH better, if they worked on their food prep speed.**Reply to restaurant's reply...It is understood that you make the food to order and it may make the food taste better, but it doesn't take OVER 30 minutes to prepare an already prepared Impossible burger patty and fries, no matter how you say it. It's not like it was a "specialty" dish with multiple ingredients that had to be prepared/chopped/ground up/mixed together/etc. It was literally 2 pre-prepared Impossible burgers and fries. With tomato, lettuce and pickle on a bun. That excuse may fly with more detailed recipes that have many components to it, but not with a burger and fries....

I love the Vine cafe. I usually get it for lunch but have ordered for dinner a time or two. I get the Thai curry bowl and also the chicken chipotle flatbread. So much flavor! We also love the wings. The customer service is awesome and it's black owned! Love that for them!
