The cashier was very rude when I ask about my food not being cooked to order. I was okay with the chicken bow but I wanted my shrimp hot off the grilled. He got mad and said, “you can get your money back” “leave “, “you don’t trust no one”. All I wanted to know was how long the food was seated there. I understand that it is an express eatery but I won’t be going back.

Koiya is the most...whatever Japanese place in Dublin. I say that, not out of rudeness, but just as a normal consumer. They have a beautiful atmosphere, and I wish that carried to their food. It's...fine. Not great, not bad, just fine. Some Sushi I've had there was, decent, others I really personally didn't like. The Sushi menu is very small relatively, and pretty basic. The other stuff is okay. Serviceable chicken, steak, shrimp, fried rice, etc. Sometimes it lacks flavor, veggies are there with no real notable anything, and their yum yum is different. I didn't hate it, but it's not as good as others. To me for the prices they ask, I'd much rather pick the other offerings from the competition. I'll still go here on occasion due to it being so close to my work, but otherwise, eh. It's just there. I perfectly understand why I did not go there for much of my life. I didn't miss anything special, nor did I hate anything there either. Most 3 star place I've ever been to.

Had a chicken bowl served in a styrofoam food container with cheap plastic knife and fork offered as the only option for utensils. No chop sticks available. Three compartment container, 2 for teriyaki chicken, 1 for rice. Zero vegetables. No onion mixed in, nothing green on the plate... like maybe a little broccoli? The food isn't bad, just uninspired. Great care to separate the kitchen from the dining room. Plexiglass seals the front of the restaurant from the cash register behind the counter and the kitchen. Masks are still being worn behind the counter. Food is passed out through a hinged opening in the plexiglass. But drinks and sauces were self-serve by the customer. Masks not required in the dining room (which is good in my opinion). The food came out quickly, was hot, and is inexpensive. Just needs a little love added like chopped green onions added to rice. Would also be nice if it were actually served in a real bowl instead of the styrofoam container.

I was the only person ordering food. Asked for no hot sauce on the crab sushi. They put hot sauce on it. Asked for yum yum sauce. Didn’t bother to give it to me. Didn’t give me any sauce for the dumplings. I tried to eat the noodles with their cheap plastic forks but it kept bending. Cost me $25 for horrible service and food .Maybe the other locations are better than this one but I doubt I will try to eat here again.

Loved the atmosphere and the workers were very nice and recommended what I should have did with sushi. My advice is if you have someone telling you a certain way to try it first the way they explain it. But other than that everything was amazing
