A friend and myself had a late lunch on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at the restaurant. The buffet had an unappetizing look. The whole kernal corn had a brownish look, the lima beans looked on the order of mashed potatoes. Desert bar was unappealing. I will say the ladies working there were very attentive. Pork chops. Roast beef, mashed potatoes, fried okra and potato salad were very good. I have ate at this restaurant many times and for the first time I did not enjoy my meal. This by no means will not stop me from eating there. Just thought you needed to know about my experience.

Once a favorite, slipped to average. Obvious economic impact as food is less plentiful, fewer choices. Fried fish requires cole slaw. Hot French fries would be nice. Country fare appears from a can. Food preparation is less attractive. Salad bar dressings appear watered down. When compared to competitor, down the street, they lose. Senior or veteran benefit has no impact.

Granted, lunch on 12/26 which may have impacted everything. When compared to a chain buffet 1 mile down the road….this buffet was clearly deficient. Salad bar, hot bar, dessert bar are minimal. Just the bare minimum of items. Large open rooms….no atmosphere. Waitress did her best under the circumstances. I’m convinced some of the heated items merely reheated from previous day open…..regardless not favorable. Ice cream must be requested and then provided in a small styrofoam cup. I’ve in the past (4 months ago) visited and found this place clearly competitive…not today. Very disappointed.

The restaurant had a foul odor you can smell when you walk in. The food was not the best some items on the food bar was good. ( Chicken). The service was good and the people were friendly.

The food here was absolutely delicious. Whoever was cooking clearly cooks with heart. Small buffet but everything I tried was great. Highly recommend. Will return for sure. ?

Waitresses are awesome but the food is terrible. Dessert bar is almost nonexistent and the price is high.
