It is located in the grocery mart (just left side you enter the mart). It looks Korean-styled bakery cafe. It has Korean-styled bakeries but tasty is not as good as other Korean-styled bakery you can find around here. Coffee is not as good as I expected. Just a cup of coffee!cashers are not friendly too that I was very surprised.

This bakery is located inside Mega Mart. I like Korean bakery because it’s not too greasy and not super sweet. Japanese cheese cake was $4 and other bread is combination of red and green bean bread. Basically one side is red bean filling and other side is green bean filling. I stop by this bakery every time I visit Duluth. Every week they have some type of special. This week roll cakes are on sale for $13.

Nice bakery inside mega mart. They serve delicious Korean baked goods and drinks. I like their misookgaru drink which is mixed grain drink. Their service is friendly and their prices are reasonable. 4 stars!

This was my first visit to this bakery, which used to be a White Windmill bakery located within Mega Mart. The space is now more spacious than before. However, while the prices are reasonable, the taste of the bakery items doesn't stand out as exceptional compared to other bakeries in town. We decided to stop by for some coffee and a chat after having lunch at a nearby Korean restaurant.

Basquia Bakery is a Korean bakery tucked inside Mega Mart. They've got this sale going on-Soboro for $1.50 each, so I obviously stocked up on a few. Now, if you're a coffee aficionado, you'll appreciate that they use Illy coffee. I swing by occasionally for their iced americano; it's both cheaper and tastier than what you'll find at most other nearby coffee shops. The bakery is spacious as well.I haven't ventured into their cake section yet, but they do look pretty tempting from a distance.

My Opinion

An instant fan of this newly opened bakery inside MegaMart! *Gluten Free* options, lower prices on individual pastries, cookies, desserts, etc. than those of competitors, yet even fresher. Their bread loaves are my favs. Bought many cakes too but they are okay- decorated well but they don't necessarily taste better than other bakeries - not sure why. Just think they are better on everything else but cakes. Still love this place!

This place is awesome!! One day came with my fam who shop at megamart often. I was amazed by all the pretty, delicious looking breads! They had a $1.50 soboro bread special so we got one. I don't usually like soboro but this one was amazing!! The problem with soboro a lot of times is that if the cookie layer is nice and crunchy, the bread under it is too dry/hard. Or if the bread is nice and soft, the cookie layer is not crunchy enough. But THIS soboro was well balanced for my taste! Sooo good!!! And I tried the almond twist, sometimes after eating these you can feel a layer of fat in your mouth but with the ones from here, they were so light, airy, flaky and without leaving a greasy residue in my mouth!!! Loved it! And let's be honest, k bakery cafes are not typically known for good coffee even though they charge a lot for coffee but here they serve illy hot coffee which is decent priced coffee for the quality. I can't believe it took me so long to discover this place and I'm looking forward to coming back to try more! Also, they're "Basquia Bakery." My parents and sis also liked their experience here :)

(Translated by Google) It has a price of 70% or less of a typical Korean bakery and has more than 1.5 times the quantity. If I have something to do nearby, I stop by often.(Original)일반적인 한국빵집의 70%이하의 가격을 가지고 있고 1.5배 이상의 양을 가짐. 근방에 갈일이 있으면 자주 들르게 된다.

So many types of breads here. The weekly specials have great value.

I was pretty bummed that my coffee bun had no cream inside but overall, it tasted decent. This bakery - squeaky clean and organized - has a vast range of pastries that I'm excited to try next time.

I went here a couple times and with so many bakeries in the area, this place is ok. I liked the convenience of grabbing bakeries while doing groceries shopping. It adds some excitement to my grocery runs. I first went during the day time on the weekend around noon, which was very crowded. The milk bread is always sold out. Some of the breads doesn't have label on its own packaging. You'll have to refer to the overall lable on the display. Sometimes it's hard to tell which bread I'm looking at (milk bread or regular) or which one is sold out. Ended up not getting anything. The 2nd time I went at night time after 5:00pm. It was easier to walk around and browse. Ended up getting mini croissants and sugar coated toasts. The mini croissants were so cute! I tried them right away, but they were hard. Doesn't seem like it was the fresh batch from the same day.The sugar coated toasts were great. Can't go wrong with 2 of the greatest things in the world; carbs and sugar. With so many bakeries in Duluth, I'm sure it taste the same at other bakeries.

This is the new bakery that recently replayed the White Windmill bakery in the Megamart shopping mall. It's huge first of all and offers a large variety. If you want a place that sells really cheap, pretty nice Korean breads with good deals, then it's this place. Not the the most aesthetic place bc the grocery aisles are next door so the lighting is austere from the warehouse effect and hustle and bustle of shoppers but a good place to grab some breads and go home to your fam. From the website: It is headed by Newton Shin, Hawaiian raised Korean native, who was named Southern California Restaurant Writers' Pastry Chef of the Year for 2013 and 2014 (winning over more than 4,000 candidates), said that Basquia Bakery will take up some 6,000 square feet of Mega Mart's 160,000-square foot store. What struck me immediately was the number of Swiss roll cakes that were being made when I entered. There's a special going on currently for 12$ a roll rather than the usual 18$ and the flavors are strawberry, mocha, and vanilla. Second was the prices- cheaper than Sweet Hut and definitely cheaper than most Korean bakeries around like Mozart and White Windmill. Each bread was like 2.50-3.50 each. Very affordable just like the rest of megamart and great place to buy large quantities of breads for a party/hang out. Most of the desserts are a fusion of euro-koran more so breads rather than pastries. If you want pastries, try Paris Baguette but if you want a place for breads, then this is your new place to go! There is a LARGE variety and in large quantities. I grabbed about 10 breads including a strawberry roll to sample the new bakery. If you want something on the sweeter end, try the red bean/green bean breads. Those tend to be super sweet in the world of asian baked goods. I got 2 of the cream filled caterpillar rolls- the one with the orange slices and soboro bread like was great with the nice bright flavor of the orange. The other caterpillar butter cream bread was typical with a very generous amount of butter cream. The soboro bread and the mocha are a great choice for those looking for a more buttery/nutty crisp flavor. There were a lot of pull bread options including a giant garlic cream cheese bread for only 6$ that could feed large numbers of people and other flat Korean pull breads. I didn't get them bc I couldn't finish it but they are cheap and large. Regarding the fruit flavored buns, this is where I would fall short of the 5 stars. I love raspberry flavors and got the raspberry bun- you can taste the raspberry but I wish there was a tang to it that would have given this dessert a brighter lift. It felt a little too heavy with cream and raspberry flavor but adding a hint of lemon juice for brightens would make this a more fruity dish. Same goes for the strawberry in the roll cakes. Excellent softness to the roll cake but the strawberry flavor was faint- almost wished it was plan butter cream with fresh strawberries or the strawberries had a hint of tang to it ti make this pillowy cake even more bright especially with summer months ahead. I think this place is heavy on its creams, good for sweets like mocha flavored but could offer some brighter tasting goods to lift the heaviness of creams on their breads.
