Hansel & Gretel Bakery Cafe is the kind of place that makes you “accidentally” order more than you planned. Everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made — the kind of baked goods that make you pause mid-bite and go, “Okayyyy, I see you.”

The drinks are nicely balanced (read: not sugar bombs), which I appreciate. You can actually taste the coffee and tea without feeling like you just drank liquid frosting. Atmosphere? Cozy yet sophisticated. It’s giving “meet a friend for coffee” but also “casually romantic first date.” And somehow, despite being a popular spot, seating and parking were both easy — which feels like a minor miracle here in Atlanta.

Now, as someone who’s gluten-free, I’ll say there aren’t a ton of options… but let’s be honest — what exactly do we expect walking into a bakery? I knew the risks, and I went anyway and found two items I could eat. Worth it.

Would absolutely recommend. Just don’t blame me if you leave with an extra pastry you “weren’t going to get.”

The desserts are amazing!!

Tasty fork

Great atmosphere and dessert options, my favorite thing to get here, besides the Vietnamese coffee, is the custard and Nutella filled croffle - in the shape of little fish- they’re gooey, warm and flaky.

I ordered a hot cafe latte, but they brought me an iced one. I humbly pointed out the mistake, but the waiter didn't apologize at all. To top it off, the waiter who served me the coffee was unfriendly and just handed me the number machine and the coffee without saying a word. The service was terrible, so I'll never go there again.

They never have coffee. Even when you arrive a bit past lunchtime and you tell them that you’re willing to wait for a fresh batch they will not make it. This has happened to me on three different occasions. Never been to any bakery that does this.

Lies! I hate TikTok! I purchased almost every fruit shaped pasties along with two of the sleeping bears. The blue square with blueberry filling, nasty. The outside taste just like cream cheese, and not in a good at. The green apple, nasty. Had chunks of apples in it and it was not sweet. The texture was off putting! The lemon, nasty. A lemon gelatinous layer that had to spit out! I couldn’t eat anymore, But my sister tried hers, some fort of Java cheesecake (it was a sphere) And she said it was pretty decent. I knew that some of them were soft and no layer of crunch, But of all the reviews I saw on TikTok, the yellow lemon one had crunch to it, but it was also soft. I will never order these again, And that was the last time I believe in all these fake TikTok influencers! These influencers should be ashamed!!! I’ve spent almost $90 Oon a90 where I took one bite into a mini trash. Even my five and seven-year-old couldn’t eat them!! Since I didn’t do an unboxing, because I am not influencer And I lost my receipt attached the charge of my credit card just in case someone wants to think that I didn’t actually go there. I’m trying to sabotage. By the way, this is MY *personal* you still try it for yourself!!!

Such an amazing bakery. I am visiting from Asheville and used to own a French Style Bakery. I came and got breakfast pastries and coffee and was so impressed I came back on my way out of town. All the Danishes were amazing. Cream Cheese Danish best I have ever had. The large Danish with the cream and fruit might be the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. The Bean Paste bun was so soft and fresh. Adorable cakes with so many varieties. I will be back some how some time.

Whenever I come to Atlanta, my friends and I make a stop by Hansel & Gretel. Their drinks and pastries are delicious. I recently ordered a birthday cake for my best friend. They were quick, kind and very easy to work with. I gave them a simple reference image to work off of and they made it so much more beautiful. Way better than expected! Highly recommend. :)

I attempted to get some desserts from this place but when I asked the cashier/clerk if she could change her gloves before handing my order, she said she couldn’t because she had more work to do. She was wiping her face, pushing her glasses up. She has made several drinks and she was cleaning. Also handling money. I include a picture of her gloves. She had food particles on one and the blue glove was stained brown.

The egg sandwich had no salt, and the ham and cheese toast was extremely disappointing. You have to serve yourself, then You have to warm it yourself in a small air fryer on the balcony, then serve yourself again, and still pay a tip for food with no taste.
The biggest surprise was that the ham and cheese sandwich was sweet, which makes no sense. I can’t believe this is what they serve.
Very disappointed. I didn’t like it the first time and came back hoping it would be better, but it was just as bad.

It's not a very huge bakery, but it's cute and quaint. The service was very nice also. The blue lemon sparkling ade was great! The plum tea.. super tasty! The little sausage buns are a cute lil snack as well. And the strawberry cream bun is super good! Not too bad overall.
