My husband and I were looking for a good Cajun place and found this amazing resturant! The staff was awesome. We got our drinks and apps quick *fried green tomatos and cup of gumbo!* they were so flavorful! I am new to cajun and I kept stealing my hubbys gumbo! Then we got our dinners half chicken /hot roast beef po boy and a Jambalaya the portions were hearty and we had to box stuff up! The last thing we had to get was the beignets!! They were so mouth watering! We had to tell our friends over hangout about the whole thing and will be back with more people!!!! To the lovely ladies that served us you made my birthday dinner a blast!

What a joke...four of us arrived at the Cajun Cafe at noon, and it wasn't open. As we were leaving two of the employees showed up smiling and opened up. Now it's lunch time and no kitchen prep is done. No we didn't go in, and we won't be going back there again. Larry T.

Ordered the blackened Grouper Orleans. Very oily and rice was undercooked. Every bite was crunchy. Grouper flavor was ok. I've had better. Very disappointed. Tomatoes and capers were really big for this dish.

Ordered take out for the wife and I. We both got a different Grouper entire. I had the Blackened Grouper Pontchartrain. The blackened grouper flavor was decent, the red beans were OVER salted. I tried the sausage separately and it was equally salty. The rice had uncooked crunchy bits in it. The spicy flavor of the beans was on point and could have really been a game changer if it weren't for the dominant flavor of salt. I'm from the south and can deal with a little more salt than most. No this time around!!!! I kept my expectations at bay so as not to judge too harshly. They could have done much better, with only 6 entries on the menu they should all be pleasing to the pallet.

Beignets tasted like they were cooked in old oil. They were chewy and doughy. Very disappointed. We really wanted to like this place. Close to home.
Had our 1st mud bugs of the season. Last year was so not good . Cajun Cafe keeps being great even with tragic losses within the company. Love you Hidat. If anyone out there is looking for a server job please contact Cajun Cafe..
