Mi quang. Was awesome

I enjoyed my dinner at Gao bistro. We have been here about 3 times and every time we order banh beo. It's very fresh and delicious. Afterwards our table usually orders chicken mi quang. The noodles are soft and very fresh which is delicious. They also serve fresh sugar cane drinks which we always order as well. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves mi quang and banh beo.

I went here with a group to have dinner (about 11 people), so I definitely understand with the size of the party that it might have explained the difficulties I experienced. The place is very nice inside and looking at the menu the prices were very reasonable. I looked through the menu and I couldn't pick whether or I wanted a Banh Mi or a bowl of Pho. Lo and behold, they have a combo that lets you get a small bowl of Pho that comes with half a Banh Mi. For a restaurant to literally have what I was craving -- DOPE. This is where I had an issue though. Now, I was at the beginning of the table and put my order in and after a little while, maybe 10 minutes or so, the food starts rolling out. The only sad part that is everyone else is eating and having a good time except for me. My half a banh mi comes a little later and being very hungry, I finish it rather quickly. While everyone is almost finishing up their food, I'm still waiting for my small bowl of pho. I'm not sure if it's because they technically are a "bistro" and not a full-blown pho place and maybe they didn't prep the ingredients beforehand or what, but it definitely was a wait. The pho finally came and tasted OK. Overall, it was a cool place, the service was really good, and I wanna attribute the slowness to the size of the group and that maybe they didn't have the ingredients prepped. However, whether you specialize in it or not, I would still prep a small portion of the ingredients needed for everything on the menu.

I have searched Atlanta for three years, up and down Buford Hwy, and all over Duluth, and I've finally found what I was craving - delicious Bahn Mi Heo Quay, the King of sandwiches. Roast pork with crackling (Heo Quay) is the ideal filling for Bahn Mi. The saltiness and crispy skin offset the sweetness of the mayonnaise, the ever-so-slightly sour pickled daikon and carrot, the fresh zest of the cilantro, the coolness of the cucumber, and the heat of the fresh chilis. Make sure you ask for real chili, so you don't get sour jalapenos, that would throw off the perfect balance of flavors.

I been here when they first open. I had the worse experience here. Haven't been back since then. But decided to give it a second chance. So I had lunch with my friends there last weekend. And service was great. The food was good too. I would recommend this place.

Nice clean atmosphere in this cute little bistro. I tried the bun Cha ca Ha Noi the previous time I was here and it was pretty good. I had to come back this time for the Banh Beo that came in little dishes. It was ok, nothing too special besides the dish it came in. I ordered the bun mam nem heo quay, it's not yummy in my opinion because the mam was serve already mixed into the bun and I like my mam on the side. Also the amount of mam was not enough to blend into the bun and veggies. The sugar cane drink was bland. It didn't taste like it has quat inside. I had better sugarcane drink here before I guess I had a bad cane. I also tried the bun bo which is really good.

This is the 2nd time I've been here in the last month and disappointed both times. How do you only have 3 dishes of Rice and your name is "Gao?" Why do you put chili sauce in the Peanut sauce for the Spring Rolls? AND the Bun Dac Biet? Not every Asian eats spicy! I requested no chili sauce in my Spring Rolls, you'd think they'd consider putting it to the side if I wanted it. The wait for the order was long and the experience was upsetting.

Ordered mi quang, bun dac biet and com thit nuong. Everything tasted bland and diluted. From the broth for the morning quang to the sauce for bun dac biet. Com thit nuong was decent. The rice was cold. Also if you're super hungry, don't expect to get full. The portions are small. I won't be coming back.

This place is my favorite place in this shopping center. Place looks very clean, food are very tasty and clean as well. Staffs are super friendly. I can eat here everyday and don't have to worry having stomachache after it. My stomach is super sensitive if I eat something that is not clean.
