We were in the area visiting family and chose this place for a couple brews and a snack around 7:30. The bartenders were great. Their flagship IPA was tasty. We only tried the fries and they came out crispy and delicious. Very cool setting with other businesses to check out all grouped together. Smart setup.

We have become frequent flyers at Good Word ever since we moved to a neighborhood nearby. It has become our standby when we want to treat ourselves to high quality grub and beverages. It is the BEST traditional old fashioned I’ve ever had. The GW burger and fries can’t be beat, especially with a side of black garlic aioli or Calabrian mayo. The wings, salad, and apps are almost always on point.The only small suggestion I would make to Good Word is additional quality control when it comes to service. On a rare occasion, I’ve had food orders that never got put in or came out at very differ times despite being placed together. This could be due to a service style that is somewhat loose meaning there are typically 2 or more servers working the same table.Still, I’m not complaining. I love this place so much. Get the burger!

Came to Good Word Brewing because all other Breweries close at either 7pm or 8pm on a Sunday. Beers we tried were good. But they did not have hefeweizen, Belgian, nor sour beers available. We did not try the food but it did look very good when they would bring it out for others.

The head brewer and the brewery were featured in an article about great Helles Lagers so I drove an hour to check it out. They don't have any Helles Lagers and the waiter says they haven't at least since the new year. The other beers I tried were mediocre and so was the food. Five Guys style fries if you like the burnt oil flavor; I do not.

On a whim, we decided to try Good Word for lunch. The space is very open, clean and welcoming. The staff were all super laid back, helpful and attentive. The boiled peanuts were not your run of the mill soggy, salty boiled peanuts. They had just the right amount of crunch left in them and a touch of spice to make them memorable. My husband had the shaved steak sandwich, which was amazing. And we both loved the black garlic aioli dipping sauce with the fries. I had the avacado toast, which was great and left just enough room for the banana pudding. We had a whole body shimmy and groaning session with that banana pudding, it was dreamy. Super great restaurant and can't wait to go back to try the burger, fried bologna and beer cheese fries!

Vising Duluth as a German and being into beers since early age, I had to visit the team at Good Word Brewing. Rob their super friendly GM who is with his team looking after customers so well gave us a little tour through the brewery and we tasted a few of the International specialities. And they are doing amazing. Todd their owner and brewer is a true genius. We tasted some of the German specialities and his execution is (near) perfect. He brought the DNA of the beers out well, the freshness of the beer and the unique flavour of the various types from Kolsch to Altbier and Kellerbier is stunning. You can taste the finest ingredients and latest brewing tech in the "cellar" which includes pressure and spunding. Go and sample, they are amazing and will surprise you for sure! We left the place thinking if there were 6 stars, they'd deserve each of them!!
