황소곱창 Hwangso Gopchang

This was my first visit, recommended by a friend, and it turned out to be the best gopchang restaurant I’ve ever been to. The person who seemed to be the manager was incredibly kind and provided fast, excellent service throughout our visit.

We ordered makchang and daechang, and both were outstanding. The makchang, in particular, was my favorite — so much so that we ordered an extra portion. The baek kimchi and side dishes were all delicious and well prepared.

The spicy beef brisket stew was another highlight. It wasn’t overly spicy, but it had deep, rich flavor and an amazing umami taste. There are so many other dishes that look great as well, and I’m definitely planning to come back to try more next time.

The food was good and that’s the only good thing I have to say unfortunately. It was 40 minutes before our food even came out which normally would be understandable as it was the night after new years so it was busy. However, my problem is that multiple tables that came after us got their food before we did when they ordered the same thing we did. For this price point I expect better service. Will not be coming back.

The tripe dishes here are excellent !!! And the prices are good too ~~👍❤️

I love it!

We recently visited Hwangso Gopchang and left feeling a bit underwhelmed, especially for the price point. We ordered the Gopchang Combination A Set for 2–3 people at $65.99, and unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. The sides were minimal mostly different types of onions with no kimchi or even a side of steamed rice, which felt surprising for a Korean restaurant. The gopchang itself didn’t feel worth the price, and I really wish they offered a marinated option to add more flavor. We also tried the chicken feet for $27.99. The portion was on the smaller side, but the flavor was good.
Overall, the food had potential, but the value and variety just weren’t there for me. A few improvements in sides, seasoning options, and portion size would really elevate the experience.

Extremely expensive.

We ordered Chadolbeggi in addition to Gopchang menu. A dish of Chadolbeggi that has 10 pieces of meat was $33. So each small piece of Chadolbeggi was $3.30. I never had such expensive Chadolbeggi. I wonder who will order such menu again.

Hwangso Gopchang is hands down my favorite spot for Korean food. I go here all the time and it never gets old. The staff are super friendly and they take care of you the whole way through, which makes the experience even better.

The banchan is always so good, and the gopchang is my absolute favorite. This place just feels comfortable and welcoming every time. Definitely my forever go-to spot!

I often go with my friends that make 4 of us and order set B. We also order other food. The split bill usually comes out at 34 for each so it is good, especially for Korean food.

This was my first time coming here and first time eating this specific cuisine. I came with my korean friends so they did all the talking- the servers and hostess didn’t speak english, but I think it’s because of my friends doing the talking. The food was good just very greasy so be aware. The servers do all the cooking and we just got to enjoy!

I have never eaten Korean food before so I may not know how the spices taste, for me the food is quite bland maybe I should try more dishes to know more about Korean food to find the right dish for me, the service is very good although the wait is quite long when there are many people coming to eat, anyway you can come and try it because maybe it will suit you
