I was very excited to try Jang Su Jang! I've heard lots of good things and wanted to eat some authentic Korean Food! We got the 된장찌개 and the 갈비찜. The Soybean Soup did not taste bad, but it was definitely different than what I am used to. I've had it at many different restaurants before, and the taste at Jang Su Jang is very different. Despite this, it was still pretty good, but not what I was hoping for.
The Braised Beef Short Ribs were humongous. We could not finish it, but it was decent. I wasn't really blown away by the taste of the food. However, the service was impeccable and extremely friendly. I would still recommend this place.

Review of return visit. Previously, I enjoyed the Jeyuk Bokkeum Ssambap alone, but this time, the two of us ordered the same set meal of the Jeyuk Bokkeum.
I chose mixed grain rice, but I didn't know it contained beans. It's a personal preference, but I think it would be better if it was served without beans. The amount of ssam vegetables was extremely generous, and although there was no Cheongyang pepper, the cucumber pepper was slightly spicy, so it went well.
Stir-fried pork is so delicious that it brings you back. The soybean paste provided together has a deep aroma and unique taste as if it had been made directly, making it a fantastic combination with ssambap. The side dishes were seasoned just right and so delicious that I even tried the side dishes that I don't normally eat.
The owner kindly took care of everything and made sure there was nothing missing. Since it was a weekend lunch, I went in right away without waiting, but seeing about two groups waiting during the meal, I think I'll have to factor in a bit of a wait next time I visit.
This is a place you'll come back to every time you crave ssambap! 😊

I loved this restaurant and the galbi cheem here was my favorite for a long time. The last two times I had, it it was not good like it used to be. The veggies (moo and carrots and pumpkin) in the dish were barely cooked and seasoned and it just made the whole dish feel very rushed and not cared for. Incredibly disappointing considering this was my galbi cheem spot! I likely won't be back here for a long time. Maybe next year I'll come and check if they fixed the galbi cheem.

I went to Jangsujang on the recommendation of a friend who said the tripe hotpot was delicious, but it tasted like dumpling hotpot with tripe rather than tripe hotpot, and I was disappointed because the tripe hotpot did not include udon sari. It was nice to be able to choose between white rice and mixed grain rice. And we were taken to our seats inside the restaurant, but while we were eating, a cold wind came in from somewhere and we couldn't take off our outer clothes. It seems to be a Korean restaurant that caters to the tastes of foreigners rather than Koreans.

I’ve dined here twice, and the service quality needs improvement. The servers don’t speak English well, so if they make a mistake with your order, you’re expected to accept it—they won’t refund you or cancel the order, so you just have to deal with it! I’d suggest they provide printed menus for customers to order from directly or use self-service kiosks to avoid these basic errors that the customers have to bear. The food is decent, and the prices are acceptable. I won’t go here again!

I LOVE THE BOSSAM HERE! Ive done done in as well as take out. The ahjummas that work here are also pretty sweet. I really like their side dishes(banchan). My sister ordered their one of their short rib stew, the meat was fell right off the bone, it was so rich in flavor. However, I did deduct a star because it has gotten pricey. Overall, will continue to eat here and would definitely recommend.

We used to love this place. But recent experience tells us to avoid it. We stopped by around 5:30PM of a weekend night, but nobody welcomed us. We had to find the waitress ourselves. Then no one gave us water. We had to go to ask for water. The BBQ plate only had 4 pieces in one plate, and no scissors provided for the BBQ……all in all very bad experience
