In the Atlanta suburb of Duluth, there is a wonderful latin restaurant called Las Costas Narayitas. I've been there many times. It has such a great atmosphere, in my opinion. First of all the food: it's DELICIOUS. And I suppose, of all things, I like their rice the best. A little thing like rice but if you were to taste it, you'd see what I mean. It's so fluffy and creamy. I asked the waitress what they do to make it so yummy and she told me they cook in it butter. Anyway, I love it. I am a creature of habit and I always get their salmon with mushrooms. Included with it is a very large bread roll, french fries, rice and salad. BUT BEFORE that, they bring you out an apetiser. You'd think it would be salsa and chips but at this restaurant it's a toastado with tomatos limes and tuna. It is so good. Second of all, the service: these people are so nice and kind and respectful and are very attentive. And third, the atmosphere: they have mariachi singers that will come to your table and sing to you. And that has been the case each time I have been there. Unfortunately this last time, they weren't mariachi singers, singing boleros in their mariachi suits. This last time, they weren't dressed specially, and they did not sing boleros but rather Mexican themed songs with the accordian and a LOUD electric guitar. I didn't care for that AT ALL. I hope they go back to the traditional Mariachi singers. But that won't stop me from going there. Do be aware, that while some waitresses and waiters speak English, some don't. But the food is SO GOOD that the music choices and lack of communication with SOME of the staff, were minor inconveniences. If you are visiting the Duluth area of Atlanta, I'd suggest you give these people a visit. I have more pictures on my blog.

I ordered mixed fajitas to go with flour tortillas. I received unseasoned shrimp with a few pieces of onion and bell pepper. Don’t waste your time or money. Definitely the worst experience I’ve had with a restaurant in Atlanta in my two week stay.

The seafood is just ok. I had a mixed seafood dish advertised as fresh. It had two shrimp a bunch of chopped up octopus, fake crab, and a slimy filet on the bottom that was gross. French fries were cold, cheap bread stick, cool rice. Sorry but not as advertised. The people next to us asked for their money back and we’re treated rudely and argued with. They were served overly fried seafood they said was inedible.
