Local on North has cracked the code for running a reliable restaurant. Since moving to Duluth 3 years ago, we have visited dozens of times and have had only good experiences. The menu is varied enough to satisfy the tastes of our large family. The food always tastes good and is priced fairly. The drink prices are more than fair, and they make good cocktails. The staff, without exception, is professional and courteous. The Sweet Thang Salad is a perennial favorite. It is our go to spot, and we are there at least once a month. We are proud to have Local on North in our neighborhood. Keep up the great work!

Today was our fourth or fifth visit to Local on North and our first visit for lunch. While I do think I prefer this restaurant for dinner (we do need to still come try them for Sunday Brunch!), lunch today did not disappoint. Cynthia was our server for the 3rd time and her positive energy, attention to detail, and quick/efficient service are unmatched as far as the local spots go. It's a rare thing nowadays to feel welcome and appreciated as a customer, but Cynthia is thorough, gracious, and genuine.. knowledgeable and quick but never makes us feel rushed. Nothing on the menu (food or cocktails) has disappointed as you can taste the freshness and the care that goes into their offerings. So if you're thinking about giving Local on North a try, trust me - GO! And then thank me later.

We had a reservation to dine in and everything was excellent. Cynthia, our server, was nice, helpful and personable. First time at this location..We enjoyed it before heading to a show at Red Clay Theater..The Fine Columbians..which was also excellent..

Our waiter, dillan was amazing and very knowledgeable. His attitude made the whole night a great experience. The Seabass with Gouda cheese grits special was so good, we ordered it twice. We do hope that this makes it on the everyday menu.

Sadly my steak was overcooked not once but twice. The flavor was yummy just way over done.
I recommend this restaurant for it's varied menu, cocktail offerings, delicious food and friendly service. Located in the walkable downtown of Duluth, it offers both indoor and outdoor dining. We had the goat cheese croquettes, branding and grouper tacos, all delicious!

We went for Burger Week and also got the Sweet Thang side salad and the fried green tomatoes appetizer. Everything was delicious! Service by Dillon was superb. We will return.

The food was good. The atmosphere was ok, maybe if we sat outside it would have been better. The service was bad. We were going to an event after dinner and we were late because of the slow service. We ordered drinks and appetizers then waited a long time to give our dinner order and to get our to go boxes at the end. Maybe with a different server the experience would have been better. Overall though I don't think I would recommend this place.

First of all, it is hard for me to find good restaurants to eat at because I have a seafood, shellfish, & mushroom allergy, and I also don’t eat pork or beef. I heard about this restaurant and decided to visit. The chef was nice enough to substitute its seafood taco with chicken and it was AMAZING!! I had the local salad without bacon as well and it was better than my favorite longhorn salad. My girlfriend had the porkchop and it was HUGE and she said it was SO GOOD!! The staff is warm & professsional. I even met the owner and he was so nice! If you are looking for a great place to eat at awesome prices, look no further than Local North!
