Local on North has a good atmosphere, delicious food and drinks. Our sever Allie was friendly and quick. We loved the “local” salad and shrimp tacos. The smoked old fashion is another delicious treat. Highly recommend a visit.

Started with the spring rolls which were crisp and delicious. Had the steak tacos which were chopped rather than strips of steak. Certainly made it easier to eat and they were also very tasty. My husband had the RKO burger which he said was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our meal with friends who also love eating here. The food is consistently good. Be sure to make a reservation though because the room fills up quickly on cold nights when outdoor seating is out of the question.

Food was good and a decent atmosphere. However, the place was a mess! Bartender wouldn’t lift a finger to help the one waitress clear tables. At least 8 tables (and it’s small inside) were covered in dirty dishes and waste the entire time we were there. Couldn’t get a clean table so sat at the bar. Bathroom was dirty and even the roll of paper towels was sitting on a counter instead of being loaded. Under staffed? And a super lazy bartender. Real shame.

My friends and I chose Local on North - Duluth to celebrate our annual pre-New Year's dinner/drink/toast. The food was amazingly delicious! The drinks were made just right. The service was awesome. Kudos to all. I will be back!

The place is smaller than I expected, so I'm glad it was packed because it would have been loud and hard to talk. I had a nice dinner in the midst of all the holiday chaos. My mom loved her pulled pork tacos. They were packed with goodness and held up well for her to have one for lunch the next day. My husband had a huge burger with fries, and I opted for the Cubano with fries. It was OK, but we had a good time. Our server was just the right amount of tentative.

We’ve been to The Local about 100 times and every visit is incredible. The chef and his team are killers. Anything with fish is amazing and the pork chop is one of our favs. We love the mussels too for apps. One of our go-to fav spots!

the woman with the extraterrestrial tattoo behind her ear offered the worst customer service I’ve experienced there.
I’ve visited four times the food and desserts are really good, which is why I kept coming back. The first time I dined in, and the next three times I ordered desserts for pickup because they’re genuinely delicious.
But during my last visit, this specific employee ruined the experience. I called five minutes ahead to order two desserts to go. She served them on plates to eat in. I told her politely it was pickup, but since she had already put cream on one, I tried to make it easy I said she could keep that one and just pack the other in a container.
She still didn’t do what I asked, and when I clarified, she raised her voice at me aggressively. It was shocking, unprovoked, and humiliating. I didn’t react because I knew if I responded, it would escalate but trust me, I wasn’t scared, just stunned by how unnecessary her attitude was.
Every other staff member I’ve met has been respectful and kind, the issue is clearly this one woman with the tattoo. Her behavior was unacceptable and unprofessional.
And the only upside? She actually cured my sweet tooth because after that treatment, I won’t be coming back for dessert anytime soon. ✨

The food was delicious! Wish I would to taken a picture. Tried the Steak Oscar special was Delicious!!! Sweet Thang salad was tasty and the Chicken Francaise was delicious too! Oh the A Mule Situation was worth a trip back. If you are looking for a great place, give it a try
