Amazing smash burgers (I had the BBQ burger) a tasty salty fries. Cheerwine and Whiskey Slushie was a refreshing pairing with my meal!! This was a soft opening, the staff was well-trained and friendly. Opens Thursday!!

LR Burger is a spot with ridiculously good burgers, like the smash republic with bacon, tomatoes, jalapeno hot clucker sauce, and fried onions. The food is delicious, perfectly cooked, and offers very good value with reasonable prices and plenty of fries. The restaurant has a beautiful view looking out over Duluth downtown green, which is great for people watching, and features a cool upstairs patio/bar with a damn good whiskey selection. The inside environment is cool with sound deadening material for comfortable conversation.
Service experiences vary, with reports of fast, friendly, patient, and gracious service, especially noted during a large holiday catering order handled impressively in under 30 minutes. However, other visits encountered indifferent service, inaccurate wait times, and a dining area described as not clean, too cold, and uncomfortable, with restrooms needing help with ventilation and cleanliness. Despite these inconsistencies, many find the excellent food and atmosphere make up for it, resulting in an A+ experience for some and a determination to return.
