We had Mala dry pot and shredded potatoes with green peppers. Both were good . But there was not much meat in the dry pot. Had more potatoes and fish cake and carrots than meat or shrimp for a $37 dish. Would return one day to try something else.

Walked in at 9:30 and their Google hours were 10pm and the man at the desk was super rude. It was our first time here. He didn’t even smile. He said you cannot sit here even after I said Google hours said 10pm. He was not happy at all to even have us as a customer. Very rude.

Ordered $50 worth of dumplings to go. We decided to stay instead of taking it to go and the old man from the kitchen came out yelling. Said we had to leave a tip to stay and we shouldn’t use their chop sticks and we’d make a mess. Uhh you’re a restaurant. Totally crazy customer service. Bizarre experience. I would have bought more food if they were nice but I’ll never be back if that’s the way they treat people. Stay away from this place.

I love North Dumpling House! Me and my husband come here often for date night. In full transparency, I’ve only had the dumplings from their menu and none of the many other dishes, but the dumplings are super good! Dumplings are reasonably priced ($8-$10 for 10ish dumplings). My favorites are the lamb dumplings, lamb with wintermelon dumplings, shrimp/fish/squid dumplings, and the pork and cabbage!! I also SUPER love the Chinese Chive Pie. I would classify this restaurant as a “hole in the wall” and it’s almost never been busy when we go. The workers are super nice and accommodating and will answer any questions you have!

Parking: Huge and very popular shopping center, especially at night. So you might have to park at the back of the lot and walk (but it’s not a far walk).

I and a large group have been going here almost every week for over a year, so I was surprised to see how polarized the reviews are! No restaurant is perfect, but this one is welcoming and has a huge variety of dishes to try -- I didn't grow up eating this kind of food so maybe I don't know so much, but still I always think it's pretty good. I think some people mistake a language barrier as rude service, but if you have just a little patience you will find out the people who run this place are kind and very dedicated. Also, excellent for groups because they have large (8 person) tables available, & the food is very well suited for sharing (order a few things, everyone tries a little bit of each, decide to order some more, etc. & split the very reasonable bill). So, no it's not the most extravagant decorated interior, and sure you may find flaws if you go out looking for them, but if you simply put your first impressions aside then you can really enjoy being here.

If you don't know what to order, everyone (except non meat eaters I suppose) will love the 'Chicken with Ginger & Wine Sauce'. They also have excellent vegetables (especially try the braised green beans, or the snow pea leaves), and of course you cannot go wrong with any of the dumplings / buns.

The food was too unpalatable. The attitude of the waiter made people feel very strange. Although he spoke with a smile, he was just very strange. The 15% tip is reasonable, but I don’t have to give it. There is no mandatory standard for tipping, so it’s best not to be assertive. A requirement because tipping is for services worth giving. There is no future!

After ordering the meal, I discovered on the Internet that this restaurant had such a low rating. After reading the comments from netizens, I immediately had the urge to run away. It is hard to imagine that a restaurant could receive such a low rating. The only waitress told me that the food had been cooked, so I could only eat it with some trepidation. I ordered a seafood dumpling and it tasted OK, although I didn’t taste much of the filling. The dumpling was just like what netizens said, it was hard to swallow. It had an indescribable taste similar to disinfectant. It may have been frozen for too long. Or are there any high-tech condiments? The mixed cucumbers didn't look very good, but they tasted quite average; the cold fungus had the residual hot water temperature after soaking, and was not cold at all. The sweetness overshadowed the other flavors. The highlight came when checking out. A foreign netizen said before that he would chase you for a tip if he didn’t give a tip. Today I gave a tip of 100, and the waiter asked me: "Which tip level do you want to choose, and then leave the rest?" I’ll give you the change.”…Shouldn’t the change be given to the customer first, and then the customer pays it themselves? I asked the waiter if your ingredients are fresh? Why are the reviews so low recently? Answer me that their store has been open for 8 or 9 years... Oh, it turns out that the longer it has been open, the worse its reputation is. To sum up, the one-star rating is not enough, it is somewhere between two stars and three stars. Don't expect that low ratings will cause the store to improve. It can be seen that people don't care about online reviews at all. They just tell everyone the actual situation to avoid falling into pitfalls.

The fried rice was burnt to the point you could see the pan burn in the rice. The ginger wine chicken was very salty. When I went to pay the lady at the front added in the tip. I was there for my son’s birthday so i was trying to find out why the gift card would not go through it was because she added a tip with out letting me know. Afterward I paid cash and she started fussing and pointing at the receipt about tip. I let her know that I am a great topper and know how to tip she does not have to hassle me about a tip. She got mad when I turned to go to my table. I pulled out more cash to tip her and got change handed her her tip. Then she was all sugar and cream because she noticed her tip from me was higher than the tip point she tried to force me into. I let her know that I used to work in the restaurant industry and that all your real money comes from tips. I can’t stand when people act this way. I cussed all they way out that restaurant.
