Lemon pound cake was dry, icing was delicious.
Carrot cake was dry, icing delicious
Starberry, white chocolate cake tasted old.
We grab cake from here pretty consistently as its our only real option for cake around here but its not great.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I tried A Piece of Cake for the first time yesterday. When you enter not only are you immediately hit by the pleasant smell of cake the owner is the sweetest. This by far is the best cake I’ve had, I will most definitely be a repeat offender 🥰

White chocolate cake is my fav!

My Daughter Got me a Birthday 🎂 cake I picked it up the next day the cake was dried out and started to mold within 3 days I called Customer Service they stated I should have just Bought it back I called on the phone to complain at this point my Birthday was ruined Because of this they never offered me a refund or another cake I have shopped here many of times I am very disappointed I have never had anything like this before.

This is by far the most delicious cake I have ever eaten. My son wanted the white strawberry cake and OMG I want to buy one every week. My family wants to thank this team for their dedication to excellence.
Also, I want to say that I received the most excellent customer service. The representative treated me with the utmost patience and respect even though I gave her the wrong name when I came into pick up. I love this place and te sweet woman who took care of me.

Excellent customer service!
1. Yellow cake w/ choc frosting was EXTREMELY dry with no flavor. The frosting was pretty good though.
2. German choc cake was better. Cake was dry but w/ decent flavor. The frosting was good and helped overall.
3. Red velvet cake was pretty good not nearly as dry and was enjoyable. The frosting was good though not cream cheese flavored.
I quickly remembered why our last visit was 5 years ago! Won't be back.

Just moved back from California. I loved this place and found one near me. I stopped walked in to buy a piece of cake. I asked the sakes person if the cake was made today and she said yes. I got home tried the cake , it was old cake. I could not tell what day it had been made but it had not been made today. I will never go back there again. I can’t stand people who lie!!! In the name of Sales……

The right place to go when you just want a piece of cake and not the whole thing.

Everything is baked fresh. My suggestion is to go early because they will sell out fast.

The lemon pound cake is sooo good. It has the right amount of lemon flavor to quench that thirst. I take the glaze off because I'm diabetic and really shouldn't be having this cake to begin with but oh well!! Do as I say not what I do. Anywho stop by or order through one of the food apps, they deliver!

4/18/2024 - first and last time here. For $5+ a slice, they need to do better.Much to my surprise, they had yellow cake with chocolate icing for my fiancés birthday, which you can’t find this flavor much anymore. The cake was SO dry! I also bought a separate slice of chocolate with chocolate frosting. It was a tad more moist than the yellow cake, but it was not great.The lady checking me out was nice, but there was a language barrier which made it difficult to interact.I was trying to patronize a small business, but was really disappointed.

I don’t know about all of these low reviews, I stopped at a Piece of cake on 03/19/24 and picked up a piece of plain pound ale, peach pound cake and cup cake.They were delicious, moist and so yummy!!I grew up in a household where we baked all the time and I the pound cake and cupcakes tasted just like mine.I am going back to JC in a few weeks and will be stopping by to get some cake and cupcakes!!!
