I don’t know about all of these low reviews, I stopped at a Piece of cake on 03/19/24 and picked up a piece of plain pound ale, peach pound cake and cup cake.They were delicious, moist and so yummy!!I grew up in a household where we baked all the time and I the pound cake and cupcakes tasted just like mine.I am going back to JC in a few weeks and will be stopping by to get some cake and cupcakes!!!

I have been ordering cakes from Piece of Cake for years (so long that when I started the only location was in Buckhead). We order them at my office, I have drug these cakes on vacation, bought for special occasions. Never again!!! I ordered 6 cupcakes (carrot cake), did I mention ordered. They were completely inedible. So dry. The reason for the 2 stars is the frosting was good. The cake part was awful. Also, these cakes are now over 50.00. I am so disappointed in the customer service and yes I did email the manager. No response. Save your money and order from Publix. Not a fan any longer.

The last time I had ordered any confections from this establishment was in 2014. I decided after trusting that the quality and ingredients have not changed, to order a half dozen cup cakes for my manager's birthday. This was even after looking at the reviews (warned). Well, disappointment and embarrassment was the flavor of the day. First of all, they did not have the flavors I really wanted, because it required pre-ordering (not noted on their website by the way). I chose a substitute flavor, (lemon) and was told that it was all sold out, when I picked up my order. But was assured on the phone it was available, after I paid of course (not happy about prepaying for something that was not available...smh) My manager was pleased with the gesture but was clearly dismayed after sampling the cup cakes that I talked up. If you are looking for dry, bland, flat, flavorless, insipid, cup cakes, this is the place.

I ordered carrot cake and a brownie yesterday through Uber. The cake was so dry, I threw it away. A waste of money! Perhaps they should sample the carrot cake from J Alexanders to see what good carrot cake tastes like.

This location has updated hours listed on the door and was still closed. All of the location has the Christmas voicemail but nothing else updated. This is not great communication for your customers. Especially one looking to get cupcakes for her daughter's bday today.

I am posting the review due to the slow decline in service and products received from this location. I have used them for more than 10 years business and personal events, but recently I pre-ordered a cake and it was not up to the usual standard. It was dried out and all the instructions were followed, as always. When my wife contact the location and the customer service team, they would not accept any responsibility and did not care that we were unsatisfied. They have lost a long standing customer!

My husband ordered a German Chocolate cake, which is my favorite cake for my surprise birthday dinner from the Duluth location on Medlock. When it was presented, everyone was so ready to get a piece. However, after tasting it, noone asked for seconds nor did they want to take a slice home. I've never had that happen. The cake was not the quality that Piece of Cake is known for. It was dry with a subpar taste! I went to throw it away this morning (4 days later) and my sister said call them first. I did and the manager told me they have a 48 hour policy. No apology or anything a sincere Lack of customer service but, instead to appease me she said, the only thing I can do is offer you 25% off your next purchase. It was an insult to me. So, I declined and I told her, I would be leaving a less than favorable review. Please note, I did not want my money back but and apology and a offer to make me a large cupcake would have been nice. Especially since my birthday cake was a Huge FLOP! So, goodbye PieceOC! Hello, Nothing Bundt Cake!

I came here just as a pick up order for Uber. I was greeted by the nicest woman..I forgot to get her name. She wore a Bob cut.She seemed to only worry about how I was doing and felt. I was offered the white chocolate cake and this was an amazing cake.

Would give zero if I could. The cakes years ago use to be moist now they are so dry and doesn't seem fresh! I ordered a cake and 2 minutes before arrival received a call to be told it was mistakenly sold and to pick out another. There was no other cake I wanted so was given a mere 15% off and had to come back the next day to pick up! The cake was very very dry ! I also purchased a slice of red velvet which was dry! The quality of the cakes are not like I remembered years ago when we would order for birthdays at work. They use to always be good and moist; now they are super dry!

Desserts and cakes look amazing but very rude manager or owner , short hair glasses and name starts with a P I believe. I was shocked how rude she was when I came in to pick up a delivery. She rudely almost told me to be quiet when trying to make a purchase saying yes yea yea. I will never shop here because of that experience.

I have been a customer of this bakery for several years and for the past few years the quality of the cakes have been VERY hit or miss which is not good because you don't know if the cake is going to be moist and wonderful or just dry. I ordered a 9 inch cake a few days ago for a retirement event which took place in the evening. I can not tell you how disappointing it was for the cake to LOOK nice yet the cake was VERY DRY! I spent 58.00 for a 9 inch lemon cake and a slice of key lime cake. I stopped buying the slices from them because the slices are ALWAYS DRY. When the cakes are fresh they are delicious. I contacted the bakery the next day after the event they apologized for the fact that the cake was dry. As a matter of fact it was like the lady could not believe the cake was dry because she told me that the cake was baked the night before I picked it up. If the cake was baked the night before I picked it up it should have been VERY MOIST NOT DRY. EVERYONE at this event looked forward to this cake and EVERYONE was highly disappointed at the quality of this cake and all I heard was how dry the cake was. What was even more disappointing was that the company offered 20% off of my next purchase which in all actuality the cake should have been replaced with another fresh cake or I should have been reimbursed in full. Needless to say I can no longer recommend them to anyone for a cake and this is a long term customer that they have lost and I will send a letter to corporate. Imagine your having a special event you purchase a cake from A Piece of Cake and its subpar AND their customer service is awful it was obvious that having disappointing customers is alright with them.
