This place is a gem located in a supermarket food court. They serve these authentic Chinese dishes that taste so delicious. The owners are super nice and hard working people. I really like there fried calamari, salt and pepper shrimp, and beef chow fun.

Red Lantern is inside the City Farmer’s Market food court, so don’t go expecting fancy décor or table service. You go here for the food, and it is absolutely worth it. The woman at the counter was friendly, helpful, and just a joy to deal with.

One of the best parts is that you can buy fresh seafood from the market and bring it to them to cook. We did this with lobster and fish, and they came out with some of the best dishes I have had in a long time. The ginger and scallion lobster was perfect, and the fish was cooked beautifully. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality.

If you want a little bonus, just two stalls down there is a place called Xoi Che 1994 where I tried the sea foam coffee. It was fantastic and paired perfectly after such a rich meal.

All in all, Red Lantern is not about ambiance, but the food is top-notch. It is a hidden gem in a very unassuming spot.

Best Chinese Food in Gwinnett County!

After a long search, I've finally found it – the best Chinese food in Gwinnett County! Although it’s located in a food court, don’t let the setting fool you. This place offers friendly service and exceptional food that stands out. The seasoning is perfect, the taste is spot-on, and the quality of the food is top-notch. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed!

This is a really exceptional restaurant. The smokey wok flavor really comes through on the Seafood Vermicelli Chow Mei Fun / XO that I got. The Snow Pea Tips had good quality real crab meat in the egg sauce, and it tasted really fresh. The fried fish with XO sauce had a unique taste that I've never had before, and it might be the best fried fish I've ever eaten! I mixed some of the XO sauce and puffed rice from the fried fish with some white rice and made a whole new delicious flavor! The chili oil was really good, too. It's not as hot as I am used to, but it used Scechuan peppercorns like you are supposed to, instead of just red pepper flakes. The flavor was top-notch!

The food is served in the traditional Chinese family style, where they give you big serving dishes that are meant to be shared, and then everyone eats some of everything out of their own small bowls. If everyone gets their own thing, there is no way you will be able to finish.

All of the food tasted very fresh. I am excited to bring my family and friends here to let them try the food. I have to have that fish again. I'll try to post more pictures of the food the next time I come back.

We dined at Red Lantern Chinese Cuisine in the City Farmers Market food court and were thoroughly impressed.

We ordered the beef chow fun, fish maw with leek, and the seafood delight. Each dish was packed with flavor and showcased the coveted "wok hei" (wok flavor), particularly in the beef chow fun with its perfectly cooked, soft broad rice noodles. The seasoning across all dishes was spot-on—flavorful but not overly salty.

For anyone looking to avoid the chaotic crowds at a certain well-known spot in GW, this restaurant is a fantastic alternative. Highly recommend giving it a try.

This is not 5 star dining or table cloth in any shape or form, it's a food court and no frills. But the ingredients and flavors were spot on and the food fresh from the market quick service with lots of choices. Went here twice and large portions and definitely worth the money.

This place is inside City Farmers market. The size is generous. I ordered shrimp lo mein. There is not a lot of shrimp for the amount of noodles. The owner stated that lots of people get the vegetable lo mein, because it has lots of veggies unlike the shrimp, which has no vegetables. I will try the veggie next time

Ordered R7 -the beef with scrambled eggs sauce on rice. It came with very little beef, mostly rice and sauce. It tasted good but not worth the price as it contained very little beef and mostly rice and sauce ☹️ I paid almost $15 for mostly rice ☹️
