When I first came to the U.S., Red Lobster felt like a fairly upscale chain restaurant, well known for its premium seafood dishes. I still clearly remember my parents taking me there years ago to try their lobster combo—it left a lasting impression on me. In recent years, especially after the pandemic, I’ve heard from friends that many Red Lobster locations have closed. This time, thanks to an NBA50 delivery coupon, I finally had the chance to revisit Red Lobster through takeout and tried their Ultimate Tri Shrimp combo, which lets you choose three different shrimp preparations. I personally really enjoyed the shrimp pasta—the rich, creamy white sauce paired perfectly with the pasta and was very satisfying. The Garlic Shrimp Scampi was full of garlicky flavor and tasted great as well. The Walt’s Favorite Shrimp, served as crispy fried shrimp with cocktail sauce, was refreshing and delicious. The only downside is the price—it’s still on the expensive side… or maybe I’m just broke 😅. Overall, though, it was a pleasant and nostalgic experience.

First time at Red Lobster. Biscuits were amazing and our server was great. Unfortunately, the kitchen somehow completely forgot the corn and potatoes from my Sailor's Seafood Boil. It was just a bag of shrimp and sausage! Lol I have no idea how that goes unnoticed because the bag only weighed about 1lb, half of what it should have been.

One of the orders (my daughter's) at our table was shrimp linguini. It was requested to make sure it had plenty of sauce. It was DRY. When asked for more sauce, I was charged for the extra sauce. My grandson's cheeseburger was very dry and it was ordered as medium done. I requested to speak to the manager Vivianna, she didn't have time even though it was slow. She took my name & email address and didn't bother to contact me.

I took my family there on Sunday for a nice Sunday meal. We got situated fairly quickly, but then it was a bumpy ride. I asked for Clam Chowder and I got it, but it was not hot. It was warm enough to grow bacteria and make someone sick. It should be served hot enough as though it were a cup of hot coffee at least (> 160F). I asked to get another serving hot and the waiter brought more of the same. He then said, I don't make the food. Do you want me to take it off the bill? If you want to know why your revenue is cratering, this is why. Food not prepared properly is wasted food and costs go up. The issue is not the food, its the attitude used to make the food and the service.
