Roma Italiano Ristorante

Today was our first time visiting Roma and the food was absolutely incredible. From the complimentary garlic bread to the bruschetta we ordered as an appetizer, everything was delicious. We asked for a bit of balsamic oil on the side and it gave the bruschetta that perfect extra touch we were looking for.

For our main dishes, we had the Carbonara pasta with extra chicken and the Rigatoni Bolognese with an extra touch of pesto sauce, and both were amazing. We’ll definitely be coming back. What an awesome discovery this restaurant turned out to be!

I come here a fair bit always super friendly and always delicious but this last time the lady who takes the plates took my food and threw it out without asking if i wanted to take it home and i thought she was just going to box it because they have done that in the past 🥲 but I understand mistakes happen and I do love this restaurant so ill definitely keep coming

Thoughts…

Our family has been coming here for years because our kids love Italian food. We stopped in the other day for a family dinner. The restaurant only had one other table seated, yet we were asked to wait before being seated. While waiting, we noticed an older couple paying their bill and having some sort of issue with a waitress who was being very rude to them. They left looking disappointed, but since we’d always had good experiences here, we didn’t think much of it at the time.

Once we were seated, my wife asked if we could get a few bread rolls for the kids while we waited for our meals, something we’ve done before. The waitress replied that bread was only for people who ordered appetizers or meals (which, of course, we were about to do). My wife politely said, “That’s fine, we’re ordering can you just put them in for the kids now?” The waitress flat out said “no.”

I was taken aback. I clarified that we weren’t just there for bread and water we simply wanted something for the kids while we waited. She insisted it was “restaurant policy.” At that point my wife suggested we just leave because something felt off. The waitress rolled her eyes and walked away.

I asked to speak with a manager, and what appeared to be her father came over possibly the owner. I explained the situation, but instead of apologizing or even trying to understand, he doubled down and defended her behavior. I completely understand wanting to support your child, but when you’re running a business that serves the public, personal issues shouldn’t interfere with customer service.

Unfortunately, we left very disappointed. This used to be one of our favorite spots, but after that experience, we won’t be back. Sad to see a family-run place lose good customers over something so small and so avoidable.

Great atmosphere, relaxing music. The food was amazing, I ordered the lasagna and it made me very happy, very fresh and delicious. The tiramisu was also incredibly tasty. Amy was my server and she was very patient and fast. They also have a great variety of wines. Will come back!

Yum! Food is so good! Been here a few times, don’t think we’ve had a bad dish!! Very good Italian food! They close pretty early, so have to plan to get there in time..but it’s worth it!!

Wasn't impressed. Our server was nice but the food quality was lacking. Also, please remove the food items you currently do not have from your menu or at least put on there that they are no longer being offered. Could get better Italian food at a lower price somewhere else.

Horrible service, the worst we had in years. The place was not busy and we were abandoned literally. Waited for 20 minutes, no service at all. Nobody asking for drinks, absolutely nothing for 20 minutes!!! I did see a server giggling with the hostess. Weird place.
