For the past 3 years I’ve been searching for a Japanese restaurant in Gwinnett that serves good nigiri sushi, sashimi and tempura. If you’ve been craving the same, then your search ends here at Sushi and Co!
I had the deluxe chirashi and my wife had regular sushi and mixed tempura.
In my experience the taste of the Tamago (egg) gives you a pretty good idea of the experience and love the chef has for the food they serve. Usually eaten last, but skipped that rule and had it first kind of like reading the last few pages of a book to see if it’s worth reading the rest. Well, the Tamago here wasn’t just scrambled eggs with sugar folded into a rectangle, it was like biting into a seasoned cloud from heaven. Good sign!
Next the rice was not cold. What a surprise! The grains preserved well and sticky enough to hold form but not mushy and starchy. Seasoned perfectly with just enough vinegar to compliment the seafood.
I like that the slices of sashimi weren’t huge thick slabs, instead they were not too thin and just the right size to express the flavors the chef intended. Every piece from the red snapper, flounder, toro, chu-toro, saba, scallop, shrimp, ikura, squid, and eel tasted fresh just like back home. Literally brought tears to my eyes.
We actually had enough to eat but learned they would be closed for vacation, so ordered spicy tuna handrolls, sea urchin and more chu-toro and tempura. Ended it with green tea ice cream which was topped with fresh fruits and whipped cream.
What a fantastic feast we had! Plan to be back as soon as they reopen to sit at the sushi bar this time. Thank you for a great meal and have a wonderful vacation!

This place used to be our favorite, it’s still pretty good, but I feel the quality of the sushi has gone down a bit? The Alaskan roll was our favorite, but DO NOT get the volcano roll. You couldn’t even see the sushi rolls under the sauce they poured on it. Way too much sauce. Created a gross texture. (Volcano roll not picture)

Super, super, super! Sushi & Co provided awesome sushi, rolls, Sapporo beer, and two versions of saki. Yum is not just a sauce, it’s their standard operating procedure! Sushi was super fresh and tasty. Highly recommended!

Sushi was a let down for a 4.7 star rated restaurant. Good service but unfortunately the fish wasn't fresh

Very good! The fish was amazing! They have off menu items, so ask.
The establishment offers a delightful culinary experience, though seating capacity is somewhat restricted.

Great food and place to chill. Sushi is amazing! Never answer phone for takeout! I waste 30 minutes by not being able to call ahead!!

Every dish took SOO long when it wasn’t even busy, the sashimi wasn’t that fresh, rolls were fine, apps are good but the portions of the fish are small. Won’t be coming back, definitely way better sushi places nearby
