Sweetwater Bar and Grill

Played here 3 times. This place is on life support. It's so blatantly obvious the owner(s) do not put any capital into this venue. Sound is consistently terrible and they hire lazy engineers ("I don't want to put on drum mics"). Literally the PA died half-way through my bands set the last time we played here. Also, DO NOT eat the food. First time we played there, my wife and all her coworkers became sick after eating the chicken tenders.

I stopped by this bar Sunday afternoon for a quick beer. As I was walking in, a woman in an SUV suddenly sped up beside me and brandished a firearm just a few feet away. I hurried inside to avoid any danger and immediately informed the bartender. However, a man at the bar overheard me, became aggressive, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Sensing the situation was escalating, I decided to leave. On my way back to my car, the same man sucker-punched me from behind. This all unfolded in less than a minute. I called the police, but before I could explain what happened, the bartender, Katelyn Marie Barros, falsely accused me, leading to my arrest based on her statements. Avoid this place during off hours; there's a serious issue with both the environment and the people there.

Stopped in on a Saturday night for a pool tournament. Nice group of folks there. Tournament was well run. Although the pool tables are in great need of repair and re-felting. None of them roll straight rails are completely dead. Even had a pocket that has a hole in it and the balls hit the floor probably won't be back. Although I hear they may be upgrading the tables to new diamonds which may offer a return visit ?

I ordered the mud turtle soufflé as an appetizer. It was a little “chewy” to start with but the taste of meal was released just a bit later. It was well worth the extra chewing.

For the main course I ordered “Possum on the Half Shell.” The cook called it Himalayan Possum since he found “Him a laying in the road.” I’m an Appalachian American, so it’s hard to fool me with Country Q-Zine. I knowed immediately it weren’t no kind of possum. Instead, the name give it away as Baked Armadillo, since possum ain’t got no shell. The smell too was a dead giveaway. Can’t fool a country boy when it comes to his possum!

Dietary restrictions: My wife and one of our identical twins has a severe pickle allergy. A recent stop at a Burger King, despite clear instructions, sent both of them to the hospital, then a Life Flight to the Mayo Clinic where we were told — news to us since we don’t watch TV — you don’t always get it your way at BK. Heaven forbid they don’t have a Mayo Allergy because they barely pulled through the pickle scare but stayed cool as a cucumber.

First off let me say that Cat is great and is a good bartender and a great host ! But whoever the little man is you have working in the kitchen needs to be fired !! I was at the bar vibing with my friend and singing a Kelly clarkson song when he asked me was I a white woman who grew up in the suburbs. Like who even thinks to ask someone and better yet a customer a question like that?? Then admitted to being drunk and that was his excuse for asking me that. Like I said Cat is great but he needs to be let go because I’m sure a man wouldn’t have been so nice
